BPS Associate Accountant fulfils an integral transactional and reporting function in Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions (“BPS”). This role touches all aspects of finance function including GST compliance, documentation of process improvements and other special projects as needed. This position will report to the BPS Senior / BPS Manager.

Job Purpose:

Provide support on recording accounting transactions, and generating timely financial reports including the GST reporting process. Prepare online bank payments and provide cash flow projections to our clients by coordinating with relevant contacts and maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Provide support to the BPS Manager, the other members of the BPS accounting team and the client.

Responsibilities may include:

• Obtain and file accounting related documents on a timely manner and highlight any improvements to the data collection process as necessary

• Key in data in the accounting system and maintain the general ledger accounts for clients

• Preparing monthly accruals, prepayment and other manual journal entries and reconciling accounts monthly

• Accounts receivable – assisting with daily/weekly/monthly invoicing
