The role of an airline cargo sales executive involves a combination of sales, relationship management, strategic planning, and operational coordination to drive revenue growth in the cargo transportation business.

Responsibilities & Tasks

· Generating Leads

Actively seek out potential clients and opportunities for cargo sales.

· Negotiating Contracts

Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions with clients to secure cargo transportation

contracts that are profitable for the airline.

· Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction

and loyalty.

· Sales Strategy Development

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand

the airline’s cargo business. This may involve analyzing market trends, identifying key opportunities, and adjusting strategies accordingly.

· Market Analysis

Conduct market research to identify potential new markets, emerging trends, and competitive threats. Use this information to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.

· Collaboration with Internal Teams

Work closely with other departments such as operations, inside sales to ensure smooth

coordination and execution of cargo sales activities. Communicate customer needs and

feedback to relevant teams to improve service offerings.

· Sales Reporting and Analysis

Track sales performance metrics, prepare sales reports, and analyze data to assess progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement.

· Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth cargo transportation processes for clients.

· Continuous Learning and Development

Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and best practices related to cargo sales and transportation. Continuously develop skills and knowledge to improve sales effectiveness.

Requirements in Terms of Education / Professional Experience / Language Skills

· Education

Minimum Diploma.

Excellent Microsoft Office user knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Marketing/Sales education an advantage.

· Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in field sales or very solid commercial air cargo knowledge.

Ideally experienced in air cargo logistics and / or forwarding industry.

· Languages

Good command of English language: fluent in speaking and writing.

Any other languages are of advantage.

· Other Skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).

Good listener, good negotiator.

Strong analytical, numerical problem solving skills.
