Responsibilities

• Contributing to the business development for our Logistics and Business Management Division in the Southeast Asia, India, and Middle East region, including customer segmentation, development of go-to-market strategy, development of new service offerings, marketing plans, leading business development and sales opportunities.
• Developing and implementing new risk and regulatory strategies, and policies of Business Development in our Logistics business.
• Supporting Partners and advisory in the development of Logistics strategy.
• Monitoring, analysing, and communicating emerging Logistics Business trends.
• Identifying, researching, evaluating and/or resolving Logistics issues impacting to the business, including conducting control reviews or gap analysis for existing processes, as needed.
• Analysing and reporting operational Logistics events, identifying root causes of control breakdowns, developing remediation plans, performing scenario analysis reviews.
• At the local entity level, maintaining oversight of the entity’s compliance with local regulations on Logistics Business requirements.
• Assisting with various ad-hoc initiatives and projects taking place across the border business.

Requirements

• The successful candidate will be bachelor’s degree qualified with more than 7 years’ working experience in Warehouse, Flight Forwarding, 3rd Party Logistics, Logistics, Sales & Marketing.
• You will also be described as someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with the senior stakeholders within the group.
• Experience in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Third Party Logistics Business Development, Flight Forwarding and operation process.
• Experience in SAP/WMS (System Analysis Program/Warehouse Management System) or Experience in customizing Logistics Management System.
• Experience in collating and proposing Pricing Benchmarks through competitive analysis from market data.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to think critically and logically, creative problem solving and excellent decision-making skills.
• Due to the significant interaction with Japan Based Stakeholders, Japan Headquarter, Regional Office and the Japanese market, fluency in Japanese language spoken and written is essentially a MUST for reports, proposals, and presentations with a proven ability to produce, review and edit written documentation.

Job Responsibilities :

Manage the operation of applications laboratory and lead its team of scientists.

• Prioritize the laboratory work and technical service activities
• Lead and motivate the team of scientists and address development areas
• Ensure that laboratory operates in a safe manner and adhering to government laws

Provide technical service to customers to facilitate sales of products

• Engage the team to provide information to customers on product properties, performance, and benefits
• Visit customers to do product presentation, discussion, seminar, workshop, training
• Encourage collaboration with customers on technical projects; develop formulation concepts & ensure more
• Work on Innovation projects together with the R&D (GTI) teams, as well as Local Sales teams

Promote deep understanding of products

• Product training to sales, distributors, and customers
• Participate in seminars and exhibitions, conduct technical seminars and workshops with customers

Coordinate the activities of the lab with external partners

• Liaise with sales team on technical service requests, updates and results
• Work together with Business Development & Marketing to create concepts and also to support New Launches.
• Participate in Global Expert Circles on technical exchange.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Science
• 5 years' working experience in applications laboratory and technical support
• Superior presentation, communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop relationships with internal service functions.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and strong drive for results
• Willing to travel around 25%

Job Description

Strategic planning & business management

· Development of appropriate KPI management scheme for each commercial segment and monitor & manage the progress of KPIs.

· Issue-analysis to assist CEO / COO for key business judgement.

· Lead and facilitate Corporate Planning Committee.

· Facilitate key business meeting such as BOD together with other management members

Procurement & Market Strategy

· Development of new route to procurement & market

· Ensure development and propose to management Commercial Policies, Trade Terms and Customer Plans.

· Ensures development of National standard of Building block KPIs by Channel

· Assesses market opportunities and recommend NPD and strategy changes as necessary to meet sales objectives.

Budget, Objectives and Sales Forecast

· Proposes sales volume, value and profitability targets for budget.

· Allocate volume target and trade spending to customers and clearly communicate with Distributors.

· Ensures development of annual and monthly sales activity and marketing support plan (Canvas, monthly highlights), including support for new initiatives launches.

Customer plans and sales development

· Coordinates with the distributor, the implementation of the Sales Plan, ensuring the achievement of sales volume and growth objectives.

· Monitors continuously the marketplace and Customers to determine possible market opportunities and improvement of market penetration of Company's products.

Risk Management

Minimum Requirements

1) Good degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or related certification from a reputable university.

2) Skills and experience to manage business as a high-level management member.

3) Min.10 years of leadership roles in Sugar Industry and excellent skill for sugar trading including futures trading.

4) Excellent global network in the industry, including but not limited to traders, suppliers, customers and distributors.

5) Experience in managing a trading team, making clear and realistic vision and strategy, setting and monitoring proper KPIs to lead the team based on expert skillset.

6) Advanced skills for investment (M&A etc), including valuation, due diligence, negotiation and other related execution process.

7) General management skills, including but not limited to accounting, finance, and governance to assist managements (CEO/CFO etc) for smoother communication with both local and overseas HQ.

8) Fluent in English. Knowledge of Japanese is an added advantage.
