Roles & Responsibilities

A chef is tasked with ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, preparing food and sauces, and assisting head chefs with service. Candidates for this role need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often stressful work environment. They also need passion and enthusiasm for what they do. This is a full-time job and the hours are typically long, with weekend and evening work quite common. Work is usually performed in a well-lit industrial kitchen and in close quarters with colleagues. Skills/Qualifications:

- At least 2 years of relevant experience in food court / institutional catering

Job duties

Production technicians fulfill several job duties during their workday, including:

• Ensuring materials are available for production manufacturing
• Inspecting and testing finished products
• Identifying problems with production or manufactured goods
• Communicating solutions for production challenges with quality assurance
• Educating coworkers on health and safety regulations
• Establishing preventative maintenance methods
• Analyzing machinery and tools to report faults or broken items

Work environment

Job Description:

- Able to lead, train and coach team member

- Manage and handle daily production purchase, inventory, stock, and work schedule

- Willing to learn and participate from the start to the end finishing product

- Cleaning and troubleshoot in production machines

- Responsible for the whole process of the manufacturing from purchase, withdraw, issue until handover to warehouse

- Create, maintain and update the SAP system

- ISO documentation update, recording and maintenance

- Responsible for the internal and external audit process and documentation

- Co-operate with inter department to ensure the production is running as per schedule

- Other task/assignment given by the Superior/Management

Requirements:

• Secondary level or equivalent
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment (wear jumpsuit).
• Knowledge in GMP and cleanroom operations will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to support overtime and willing to perform the rotating shift.
• Able to work independently.

• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
• Inform wait staff about daily specials
• Ensure appealing plate presentation
• Supervis Cooks and assist as needed
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
• Monitor food stock and place orders
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area able to cook local Chinese food

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers) Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
• Leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
• Excellent time management abilities
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

Requirements

• Possess a valid Class 3 Driving Licence for at least 3 years;
• 2 years’ delivery truck driving experience preferred;
• Physically fit to manually carry and load products;
• Able to drive 14-Footer Box Truck;
• Familiar with Singapore roads;
• 6 day-work week (Including weekends and public holidays);
• Working hours: 8am - 6pm (Overtime work is subject to logistics operational needs);
• Company’s vehicles are NOT allowed to be driven home.

Our Customers mainly consist of carpenter factories and some end users.

Work days: Mon to Sat

Work time: 8.30am to finish (after 5.30pm will be consider OT)

Off: Sun and PH

Manage and ensure smooth operation of the coffee shop;
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas to comply with health and food safety regulations and necessary policies and procedures

Increase restaurant performance through sales building, evaluate and control expenditure, actively pursue cost saving measures to achieve the sales target set
Work closely with the Chefs in the planning of new menus for the restaurant
