Role: Automation Engineer (PLC ) - LSMG

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Siemens PLC engineer with 4-6 years of relevant experience to support our upcoming PLC projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, coding, and testing Siemens PLC systems using the TIA portal, with specific experience in the pharmaceutical industry. While expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) is preferred, we are also open to candidates with experience in Process Control Systems (PCS).

Responsibilities

• Design, Code, and Test Siemens PLC Systems: Utilize the TIA portal to design, code, and test Siemens PLC systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Pharmaceutical Industry Experience: Apply your knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry to develop and implement PLC solutions that comply with regulatory requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Desigo CC System: Work with the Desigo CC system to integrate and manage building automation and control systems.
• BMS/PCS Expertise: Leverage your expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) or Process Control Systems (PCS) to support various projects and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
• Hardware Design and Engineering: Design and engineer hardware components for PLC systems, ensuring they are robust, reliable, and meet project requirements.
• Site Support and Troubleshooting: Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for PLC systems, addressing any issues that arise during installation, commissioning, and operation.
• Interface with Other Systems: Ensure PLC systems interface effectively with other systems, including SCADA, HMI, and other automation and control systems.
• Project Execution: Manage and execute PLC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in Siemens PLC engineering, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using the TIA portal for PLC design, coding, and testing. Experience with the Desigo CC system and BMS/PCS is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide effective on-site support.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing and executing PLC projects, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Siemens PLC systems, BMS, or PCS.

We are assisting them in the search as a Technical Architect, specializing cloud solutioning and technical development. Expert in hybrid and multi-cloud environment with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud infrastructure.

Position Responsibilities:

• This position will drive and grow the Technology SI business in cloud / data storage solutions, provide market strategies and offer solutions in this architecture.
• Will also be involved in other products offered by our client but will be the key contributor in cloud solutions.
• Involve and business relationship, presentation and account management to increase the wallet-share of the industry.
• Perform cross-selling, pre-selling, up-selling and farming sales activities while enhance account relationship in the business.

Position Requirements:

• Must possess a Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering or the related field.
• At least 5-years’ experience in IT solutions sales with the ability to showcase and provide technical solutions and “know-how” in the area of Cloud Solutioning.
• Must have hands-on / technical experience in Hybrid and Multi-Cloud, as well as Hyper-scaler Cloud platform.
• Experience in various virtualization technologies (eg: Hyper-V, KVM, VMWare, Xen)
• Certification in one of the following technologies preferred: Cloud Infrastructure, Data Analytics, Networking, Security, cloud-native application architecture.
• Experience in modern software development techniques like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure developer services, GitHub) and container orchestration systems (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Azure Kubernetes Service, GitHub),
• Strong command in business development, public speaking, relationship management and working with different groups in the business.

You would work on the leading RPA platforms, integrate them with AI solutions for computer vision and natural language processing, and use analytics to gain insights on both the processes and robots themselves.

You would contribute to the functional and technical design, plus the coding and testing of software applications to meet business requirements. You would also apply functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications. You would lead and run your workstreams independently as well as guide other junior members within your team on their workstreams. Your responsibilities would include:

• Contribute in all phases of SimplifyNext’s projects (Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test).
• Communicate with various Subject Matter Experts (SME) from the businesses to define requirements required for the solution design.
• Design, develop, test and deploy solutions and create reusable components/codes that adhere to SimplifyNext's best practices.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years of working experience with Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, or Power Automate
• Proficient in VB.NET and/or C#, with a good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Good programming, designing, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Strong logical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in leading either a small project or a workstream in a large project, including client stakeholder.
