About the role

• Business Process Improvement: Identify challenges and opportunities in business processes. Work closely with product managers to plan, design, develop, and implement business capabilities using Agile methodologies
• Technology Best Practices: Implement technology best practices and coding standards across the team to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Technical Expertise: Actively stay up-to-date with new technologies and be able to provide technical expertise and sound advice to business stakeholders

What makes you a successful candidate?

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related discipline
• At least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience working in or leading high performing software development teams
• At least 2 years of experience in Unix-based environments
• At least 2 years of experience in developing in kdb+ or equivalent, preferably with experience in building Feedhandlers
• In-depth understanding and hands-on technical skills at least one of the following:
  C#, Java and/or Python
  Database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL
  Modern API platform design (REST, gRPC, etc.)
  Container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficient in building distributed systems and cloud native applications
• Experience with AWS architecture is preferred
• Experience with Agile and TDD methodologies is advantageous
• Knowledge in Execution Services, Transaction Cost Analysis, and Market Data in at least 1 of the following products: Equity / Futures and Options / FX / Bonds / Derivatives
• Hands on experience in developing technology solutions, and software testing and production support
• Experience in FIX messaging is a plus.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Operations consultant, you will be part of the team to assess, design, build, implement and manage security solutions for our clients and support the clients in their desire to protect the business. You will belong to an international connected team of specialists helping our clients with their most complex information security needs and contributing toward their business resilience.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
• Experience with network security monitoring and incident response activities.
• Ability to process impacts of activities and be able to collaborate with IT operations and Cybersecurity teams on mitigations and remediations.
• Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
• Ability to create standard operating procedures and other similar documentation.

To Qualify for the role, you must have

• A recognized university degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience. Preferably with a year experience in business consulting role in a leading consultancy firm
• Strong interest in the field of information security
• Creative, independent with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent communicator with strong analytical, interpersonal and writing skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Industry related certification preferred (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA, PRINCE2, TOGAF, ITIL).
• Solution Level Certifications, OSCP, CREST, GIAC would be advantageous, as well as penetration testing experience.
