The Technology Risk & Quality team provides advice and guidance to PwC digital teams to help them identify and manage the risks when developing and delivering technology solutions for the firm and its clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide sound advice to PwC professionals (across Assurance, Tax, Advisory and Internal Firm Services practices), seeking Technology Risk Management input when onboarding or developing new technology solutions
• Develop and/or update solutions to common queries, including relevant practice aids and templates
• Support the planning, designing and implementation of risk management processes
• Assist with technology risk assessments review
• Provide support, education and training to staff to build technology risk awareness within the organisation
• Prepare monthly reports and statistics for internal reporting
• Where appropriate, you will also be offered opportunities to work with various support functions, other Lines of Service and with the regional Risk & Quality teams

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience within PwC, another accounting firm or relevant industry is preferred

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

Required Skills:

• Core Java & Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Core Java, with a focus on Java 8 or later versions. Experience with Java 17 is a plus.
• Development experience on Trading Applications, preferably on Equity Trading
• Memory Management: Understanding of Java memory management, including garbage collection and memory allocation.
• Data Structures: Well-versed in data structures, particularly HashMap.

• We seek out for a researcher with a PhD in Physics or similar. In particular the candidate is expected to have a strong back ground in many-body quantum physics with extensive experience in tensor networks and neural network quantum states.
• The researcher will work on developing the numerical approaches and apply them to areas such as quantum thermodynamics, many-body quantum systems out of equilibrium and biology.
• High competence in parallel programming and GPU programming is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Based in Singapore, you will be part of the strategic layout of the company and manage the company’s legal portfolio, including:

• Identify any legal or regulatory issues concerning the business units and/or arising from the business activities, advise and provide commercial solutions to minimize legal risks and enable the management to make informed strategic decision within an acceptable risk.

• Draft, vet, review, negotiate and perfect various types of documents and contracts including master subscription agreements, data processing addenda, NDAs, payment agreements, financing, security and transaction documentation in support of overseas businesses.

• Monitor and ensure that all documents and contracts executed by the authorized signatories of the company are compliant with the current processes.

• Liaise and coordinate with company secretary, external solicitors and other third-party advisors on various legal, corporate and/or litigation matters.

• Responsible to enhance the corporate governance practices, revise the relevant guidelines and authority matrix to be in consistent with headquarters’ processes.

• Provide support in the event of any disputes or potential disputes and litigation matters.

• Responsible for establishment of the company’s compliance system, drafting of relevant policies.

• Actively contribute to cross-regional team projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidates we are looking for should be seasoned Legal Professionals with:

• Undergraduate LL.B. or postgraduate J.D. from a reputable university in Singapore, the UK, or a common law jurisdiction and valid practicing certificate in a common law jurisdiction.

• Admission to the bar in common law jurisdiction, preferably Singapore.

• Minimum 5 years in-house/banking experience, exposure in international trade is a must.

• Able to organize, prioritize, and manage large numbers of deadlines, in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving, and demanding industry and work environment.

• Highly responsive with a service-oriented attitude. Able to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations.
