Job Title: NOC Engineer

Work Location: East, Singapore

Job Type: 4 years contract, subject to renewal

About the Job

To provide essential support in monitoring and maintaining the health of the network infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

A) Monitor systems performance

· Monitor performance and capacity of computer systems to ensure stable operations

· Gather data for network health check reports for software and hardware teams

· Identify issues, alerts, or malfunctions in software and/or hardware components

· Prepare and document system health check documents for software and hardware teams

B) Resolve network-related incidents

· Identify and respond to network-related incidents

· Adhere to organisational policies, procedures and protocols when resolving network-related incidents

· Administer service requests

· Escalate unresolved network-related incidents

C) Oversee service level agreements and service improvements

· Assist in developing service-level objectives and targets

· Maintain log of service level performance metrics

· Suggest improvements for procedures and controls to enhance performance and client satisfaction

· Identify recurring incidents and potential issues for senior management

Job Requirements:

· Nitec or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· Preferably with 1 year of relevant working experience in at least one of the following:

o Network Infrastructure, and

o MS Windows Server, UNIX or Linux

· Working knowledge on three or more of the following technologies:

o VMWARE, VDI, SAN, NAS, JP1, Backup and Recovery, CISCO switches, UNIX shell scripting, SharePoint and/or Lotus Notes workflow.

· A self-initiated, highly flexible and a pro-active team player who can work with minimal supervision.

· Strong sense of responsibility to the customers.

· Good customer service and communication skills.

· Able to perform shift duties (12 hours rotating shifts)

Job Description

• Design and drafting of mechanical engineering works e.g. ACMV, Fire protectio systems, plumbing and sanitary
• Conducting technical feasibility study, life cycle study and planning for building engineering.
• Preparation of study reports, design reports, technical notes and public consultation papers.
• Preparation of tender documents and technical specifications.
• Evaluation of tenders and preparation of tender assessment reports.
• Provide support in project management and contract administration for building engineering contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years hands-on design experience in building and/or infrastructure projects
• Good project management and technical skills
• Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision

Management Responsibilities

· Develops and manages the day to day infrastructure operations, managing stakeholders’ expectations and supporting IO delivery account approval.

· Help set and conduct day-to-day infrastructure management of client contract service level agreements (SLAs), acting as a delivery escalation point around client priorities and issues

· Manage subcontractors that will provide some areas of IO operations and monitoring services

· Effectively leverage IO industrialized service model in day-to-day management of delivery contract

· Provides a single point of contact for infrastructure demand requests and conducts planning sessions within Delivery Team to identify a demand profile to develop the capacity plan

· Ensure effective communication and escalations to key internal and client stakeholders

Operational Responsibilities

· Ensure the technical infrastructure (servers, network, application and database) are up and running to support the required operations

· Ensure that IO Support team and subcontractors are performing their job

· Ensure all assigned infrastructure incidents are resolved within SLA

· Monitor and ensure that IO operations team provide resolution / workaround to technical issues and problems escalated

· Provide regular status report on assigned tasks to the Service Delivery Manager

· Ensure that the technical operation evidence is in place

· Coordinate the tasks between Technical Team and Third Party Management for smooth operation

· Escalate issues related to technical architecture in a timely manner

· Create and maintain productive relationships with team members and relevant stakeholders

· Conducts regular maintenance and housekeeping activities as part of monthly and BAU activities

· Supports Security Operations Team in investigating and implementing remediating controls for security related incidents
