The MEICA Installation Engineer will assist the MEICA Installation Manager within the installation team for the project. This individual should have a proven track record with excellent communication skills and possess experience in large scale mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation systems installation.
Job Description
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate MEICA systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
- Conduct technical reviews of MEICA engineering designs and installation methods, recommending improvements to optimise equipment constructability and efficiency.
- Assist in the MEICA installation plans, sequencing, resource allocation, and logistical considerations.
- Coordinate the installation of MEICA equipment and systems.
- Coordinate the MEICA installation process, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, safety standards, and best practices.
- Supervise MEICA subcontractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate closely with the client / stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring MEICA systems align with their installation requirements.
- Ensure strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
- Provide regular project updates, technical reports to the MEICA Installation Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the planning and construction of major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in large scale projects, coordinating internal / external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Ability to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction in Singapore.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Good knowledge of large scale MEICA equipment and systems.
- Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with a diverse team.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
- Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to ownership of MEICA installation scope and work under tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Will be required to work full time on project site.
