Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing client/audit team working papers on the appropriateness of asset/ liability carrying amounts measured using fair or recoverable values.
• Perform independent valuations for businesses, intellectual property, financial instruments, etc.
• Conduct market and industry research.
• Construct and analyze financial models.
• Develop financial models and establish best practices, workflows, and procedures in related areas.
• Perform financial modelling and forecasting using various methods and tools.
• Review valuation reports for inaccuracies.
• Identify gaps in valuation reports and suggest improvements.
• Understand and apply financial reporting standards; pose relevant challenges and questions on key inputs and assumptions used by management.
• Guide the team in amending reports to clearly articulate valuation conclusions.
• Engage in technical research and consultations, including writing technical publications, reviewing and developing technical working paper templates and training materials, and facilitating/conducting technical training sessions.
• Review and develop training programs, coordinate and conduct training, and monitor CPE hours for audit professionals.
• Participate in other ad-hoc projects as required.

Moore Stephens LLP is looking for a Assistant Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for improvement; both in our processes and in yourself. You will be responsible to help us streamline and enhance our audit methodology and processes using CaseWare, IDEA and other audit tools. You will be a specialist in the application of the full suite of auditing standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and ethical standards issued by the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA). The Senior Audit Associate is reporting to an Audit Manager and/or Audit Partners which will conduct company annual audits from planning through to completion. Tasks will include planning the audit process, research, reviewing current processes and providing recommendations to enhance company policies and procedures.

The main role of Senior Audit Associate is responsible for the audit team and will supervise, motivate and develop the team of junior audit staff. This role is required to review the work of junior personnel, as well as developing their skills and providing training and support throughout the audit engagement.
