• Work with respective units to conduct risk control self-assessments and collaborate with business units and support units on remedial actions.
• Oversee the preparation of an annual audit risk assessment.
• Ensure strong corporate governance practices are adhered to throughout DCS Card Centre and its subsidiaries.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in audit standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Participate and support ad-hoc projects or special investigations as required.

Job Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in governance and controls within financial institutions, preferably with ACCA qualification or a degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, or assurance roles within banking, finance, fintech or Payments industries.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management principles, and card scheme rules, particularly within the MAS regulatory framework.
• Strong track record in team leadership, development, and coaching in audit environments.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform statutory audits in accordance with Singapore Standard of Auditing or compilation of financial statements of small and medium size clients from a wide range of clientele from various industries.

· Perform special audit arrangements, accounting, tax and other related assignments.

· Support manager and partner in audit planning, fieldwork, and audit reporting; prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.

Identify and execute initiatives to drive audit quality, digitalization, and growth of the small and medium-sized practices (SMPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Quality

• Perform reviews for small and medium-sized audit practices (SMPs), including their quality management systems and audit engagement files under the Institute’s Quality Assurance Review Programme and Voluntary Compliance Programme
• Drive other initiatives to enhance audit quality such as writing of technical articles and update of audit methodology

Capability Building

• Proactively engage SMPs to understand their challenges and needs, identify opportunities for them to grow and help address industry issues
• Identify changes in the industry, including emerging trends and technologies that will affect SMPs and execute initiatives to drive digitalization of the firms
• Build and enhance strategic partnerships with various stakeholders
• Manage the virtual SMP Centre

Outreach and Awareness

• Organise targeted networking sessions and events for SMPs
• Organise focus group discussions to gather feedback to shape initiatives

Reporting

• Regular reporting on project status to relevant stakeholders
• Liaise with government agencies for grant support

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Accountancy or its equivalent
• At least 6 years of audit experience

Description

• Lead various sizes of audit engagements which include planning, executing risk based financial and operational audits and finalizing all areas of the audit engagements.
• Review for completeness and adequacy, the audit working papers prepared by junior members within the engagement team.
• Identify and discuss accounting, auditing and or other reporting issues with supervisor, manager and/or partner.
• Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve problems, make recommendations for business and process improvements and manages their expectations to further nurture on-gong client relationship

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good time management skills and able to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience & able to work independently and in teams.
• Preferably with some knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Companies Act, Income Tax Act and Standards on Auditing.
