Assist the IT Executive in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s Information Technology systems and infrastructure. Provide first-line IT support to hotel staff and contribute to maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues encountered by hotel staff, documenting incidents and solutions for future reference.
• Assist the IT Executive in implementing and maintaining incident management policies and procedures, ensuring clarity in escalation and resolution processes.
• Support the IT Executive in monitoring and maintaining information systems and data processing operations.
• Perform routine system tasks, including setting up user accounts, managing software installations, and ensuring regular updates of antivirus programs.
• Conduct daily and monthly backups, verify the success of backup processes, and ensure secure storage of backup data.
• Collaborate with departments to assess IT needs and assist in implementing solutions that align with hotel policies and system capabilities.
• Ensure critical systems (e.g., servers and Property Management Systems) are operational, including managing automatic standby modes when required.
• Conduct regular checks for unauthorized programs, improper configurations, or potential security vulnerabilities, escalating issues to the IT Executive when needed.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of new technologies or system upgrades under the guidance of the IT Executive.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and software, assisting in procurement and replacement when necessary.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
• Basic knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with backup procedures and antivirus software management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide support to non-technical staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in a dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in a hospitality or service environment is an advantage but not required.

• Preparing Data Mapping specs which involves writing transformation rules to move data from one layer to another
• Data Management related tasks like Reference data standardization

Detailed responsibilities and tasks:

• Define — Define the data to be moved, including the tables, the fields within each table, and the format of the field after it is moved..
• Map the Data — Match source fields to destination fields.
• Transformation — If a field requires transformation, the transformation formula or rule is documented and coded in programs.

Desired Experience level : 5 to 15 yrs.

• Technical skills (Mandatory) : SQL(Teradata/Oracle/Postgres), Relational Database management (ER) and Dimensional modelling,
• Technical skills (Good to have) : Unix/Linux, Change management tools, JIRA, Devops(CI/CD)
• Functional/Domain skills (good to have at least 2): Retail and Corporate Banking, Cards, Wealth management, Treasury, Finance,Credit and Market Risk, MAS/HKMAS regulatory reporting

Our client is currently looking to hire a temporary staff for a period of approximately 3 months to assist with finance administrative tasks.

Scope of Work:

• Retrieve documents from online systems and perform data entry
• Classify assets for property tax based on established rule
• Create process flow charts for GST ACAP
• Prepare historical trending and ratio analysis of financial/tax data
• Perform any ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Economics or other related fields
• At least 2-3 years of experience in Tax support
• Experience in intepretting and studying of statistics data
