MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE

The focus of the Trade Support Specialist within the Brevan Howard Operations team is on ensuring the complete, accurate and timely capture of trades and lifecycle events. The core services, processes and controls are provided to portfolio managers and execution traders within the Brevan Howard group to ensure accurate risk and P&L capture. The Trade Support team forms part of the Operations Function supporting trading activities across a diverse range of Brevan Howard funds and financial markets instruments traded for these funds.

The core services provided by the Trade Support Specialists are as follows:

Trade Capture

• Monitoring electronic trade flows
• Ensuring accurate trade capture of voice executed transactions
• Compliance with regulations and internal policies with respect to trade execution and capture
• Publishing P&L and working with portfolio managers and execution traders to resolve queries

Life Cycle Event Management

• Facilitation of option expiry processes and other contractual obligations
• Corporate event and credit event processing
• Compression and novation processing

Static Data Management

• All elements of instrument data set up and maintenance
• Onboarding of portfolio managers, execution traders, and funds
• Support for static to aid the STP of trade capture

Reconciliation of Fund Positions

• Ensure funds' positions and trade details recorded in internal systems match external parties (clearers, custodians, prime brokers, counterparties)
• Facilitate the timely resolution of position and trade breaks

Process Improvement and Projects

• New business initiatives: Including set up of new traders and products
• Process Improvements including technology enhancements
• Enhancing knowledge through training and maintenance of team procedures and policies
• Completing event reviews and implementation of risk mitigation improvements

The role entails working closely with execution traders and portfolio managers across a number of Brevan Howard funds. An ability to prioritise based on risk profile is critical, as is a clear and concise communication approach with such front-office staff. The role also requires close working relationships with a number of internal partners including Brevan Howard's COO team, Fund Control, Investor Relations, Fund Risk and Quants teams. Occasionally coverage across the wider Brevan Howard operations function may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Cyber Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments in support of technology initiatives, identifying IT-related risks and recommending appropriate security controls to mitigate those risks.
• Risk Monitoring & Management: Continuously track and manage risk mitigations and exceptions, ensuring that risk reduction measures are implemented and that monitoring capabilities are integrated into the solutions to detect and respond to evolving threats.

• Encryption & Authentication: Design and deploy robust encryption technologies (e.g., Symantec 12.1.4) and implement two-factor authentication solutions (e.g., RSA Secure ID) to ensure secure access to corporate resources.
• Cloud Security: Manage and secure cloud environments, including AWS firewalls, AWS Shield, and AWS WAF, to safeguard cloud-based assets and services.

Security Incident & Problem Management:

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve security incidents, monitoring for any unauthorised access, vulnerabilities, or breaches in the network. Investigate the root cause and implement remediation strategies.
• Change Management: Oversee changes in the network security environment, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls, load balancers (e.g., F5 LTM/ASM), and proxy servers (e.g., Bluecoat, ZIA, ZPA).
• Proxy & Web Security: Manage and secure proxy servers and web security gateways (WSGA, Websense), ensuring that all outbound and inbound traffic adheres to the organisation’s security policies.

Global Client Support & Collaboration:

• Client Communication: Act as a liaison for global clients, understanding their security requirements and proposing tailored solutions that address their unique needs.
• Client Support: Provide ongoing support for security infrastructure deployed across various client locations, including resolving incidents, handling requests, and managing vulnerabilities.

Security Monitoring & Reporting:

• Network Monitoring: Utilise network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, CA Spectrum, and E-Health) to proactively identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in the network.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of risk assessments, security incidents, mitigations, and system configurations. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders on security posture and risk mitigation progress.

Training & Awareness:

• Security Awareness: Educate internal teams and clients on best security practices, risk management strategies, and incident response protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in network security, ensuring the company’s security measures remain current and effective.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in network security, systems security, and risk management, with a proven track record in implementing network security solutions and managing complex security infrastructures.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications:
  • ITIL Foundation (V3 or higher)
  • VMware 6.x or similar (preferred)

Candidates are expected to:-

• Carry out repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts
• Liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour crafts status
• Perform lathe machining, basic gas welding, and cutting works to facilitate repair to machinery
• Assist in lifting activities, forklift operation, confined space assessment
• Perform proper disposal of used oils and chemicals

The ideal candidate should preferably:-

• Possess at least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and MOM accredited certifications such as SSIC, Safety Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Forklift Driving
• Prior experience in performing mechanical fitment, basic gas and TIG welding, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting will be considered favourably

The Elastic Stack Specialist – SIEM Operations will join the APAC Production Security team in Singapore, responsible for enhancing the detection and reaction capabilities to cyber threats. I. Job Purpose

Our Data-TnS-PUO Team is responsible for providing instant troubleshooting and consulting services to internal Platform users. This team is mainly responsible for the following: receiving and resolving user issues, communicating with our engineering teams, analyzing and providing the best solutions, maintaining the SOP, writing daily reports, following the escalation process, and providing top-quality user experience. This Senior Platform Operation Specialist is mainly responsible for leading the platform operation specialist team to analyze and maximize user feedback tickets insights, provide and implement best solutions to enhance ticket handling effectiveness, and bring optimizations to product and business teams via close collaborations with oncall teams, product teams, engineer teams and other business partners teams.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and analyze the team's ticket handling quality and efficiency performance in your specialized platform domain, and initiate and implement improvement projects to enhance the team's ticket handling effectiveness

2. Collaborate closely with Tier2 owners and UEE POCs to identify and escalate real-time issue trends and high-priority tickets, and push for issue resolutions

3. Work with XFN teams (Data-TnS, TnS-Ops, E-Commerce, etc.) on ticket analysis, recurring issues RCA and governance, escalation workflow optimizations etc

Responsibilities

• Regional role for APAC
