JOB SUMMARY

Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, fire, air con and painting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

· Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.

· Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.

· Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.

· Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, electrical, fire, HVAC, kitchen equipment and drains.

· Daily inspections for hard services.

· To ensure all corrective work order and planned work order tickets are logged and closed within the expected timeframe through the work order systems.

· To maintain the E-PTW (Electronic Permit To Work system) by the client.

· Planning and scheduling Planned Maintenance works.

· Weekly work plan updates to the client.

· Escorting of the maintenance team/ adhoc vendors.

· Assist with the fire drill organized by the client. It will be twice a year.

· Assist with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for the annual Fire certification renewal.

· Leading the annual power shutdown maintenance organized by the client.

· Assist in maintaining the risk register system.

· Monthly compilation of the door security access report to the client.

· Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

· Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

· Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

· Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

· However, the role will be reporting to the Assistant Facilities Manager.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

· May require valid driver's or motorcycle’s license.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee IT requests and provide IT support to TWC Group centres and head office, and ensure all IT tickets are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.
• Plan and conduct regular checks, analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting for all TWC Group premises to ensure all software and hardware are up to date and effective, so as to prevent any possible disruptions in daily operations.
• Supervise, review and implement the organisation’s IT and digitalisation strategies and policies for all business processes in respect to the law, regulations, guidelines and IT standards.
• Lead IT projects with relevant departments and stakeholders, including the conceptualisation, implementation, maintenance and review of new and existing IT systems and services within the organisation.
• Provide recommendations to senior management on improvements, SOPs, risks, or policies regarding IT and digitalisation matters.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the IT field in a relevant role.
• Ability to use systems and complete IT tasks efficiently within Google Workplace (Sheets, Forms, App Script etc). Familiar with HTML/CSS, Mac platform, Apple systems and devices.
• Able to organise tasks and work efficiently to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
• Technically savvy and self-motivated learner.
• Possess excellent communication and project management skills to work with stakeholders from various departments and external teams.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is a plus as future work will involve collaboration with international teams based in other countries in Asia.

Work Hours and Location:

• Work Days: 5-day work week (4 weekdays and 1 weekend). The weekend may be a Sat or Sun depending on roster.

Job Description & Requirements

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Operations Technician will be responsible to:

• Responding to technical support calls/emails from vessel for computer, network, application, and connectivity issues
• Setting up and installing new computers, network infrastructure (up to L2) and software on board vessels or at shore
• Maintain network infrastructure drawing for each vessel
• Work with support team and assist to resolve cases remotely where required
• Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
• Maintaining inventories of hardware and software for each vessel
• Be actively involved in project preparation or solutions as assigned by IT Manager
• Exposure to other segments of IT ie OT equipment, CCTV, WiFi infrastructure, satellite communications
• Attend vessel as per attendance plan scheduled by vessel coordinator or IT Manager
• Assist warehouse coordinator where required with regards to pickup, delivery, and packing
• Provide IT briefing to vessel and office members as required
• Any other IT tasks assigned by IT Manager

Qualification & Requirements:

• Diploma or degree holder in Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical support role
• Prior experience with vessel in the shipping/maritime industry is mandatory
• Traveling island-wide is required and occasional travel to overseas
• Proficient in L1 networking, windows OS and MS office, WiFi networking, network infrastructure, firewall, VLANs, routing
• Shipboard allowance is provided for vessel attendance during weekends/public holidays
• Able to work independently and responsible in preparing proper documentation for work completion
