CONTEXT OF THE JOB

You will be reporting to the regional Head of AMS from a day to day activities perspective. Provide support for local and regional applications within the business as part of the AMS team (application management and support). You will be responsible for supporting exchange related tasks and applications within the regional IT team from a projects and day to day activities point of view (communications, IT upgrades, market testing, etc). Ensure all systems and services are stable and managed to ABN AMRO Clearing standards, and conform to industry best practices. Participate on a team roster to provide support outside business hours (if applicable).

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Local and Regional Focus:

• Providing analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance for new and existing software.

a) Business analysis to gather requirements

b) Functional documentation

c) Java/Perl/Python/Bash development

d) UAT testing

e) Jira tracking

f) Git/CVS source code management

g) Jenkins/Bamboo deployments

h) Agile sprint management

• Help local, regional and global business users to solve their everyday queries related to locally developed applications and third party applications.

a) Incident monitoring and response

b) Maintenance and enhancement of monitoring tools

c) Investigation/troubleshooting

d) Propose fixes / workarounds to resolve production issues

e) Implement said fixes as required

f) Follow up with software vendors to implement patches, fixes and upgrades or provide data for troubleshooting issues.

• Work with project teams at design phase, UAT stages and complete handover upon project completion.

a) Ensure business requirements are in-line with IT standards

b) Participate in code reviews and propose fixes and enhancements

c) Participate in UAT testing and ensure testing is comprehensive

d) Review documentations and propose enhancements

e) Assist in the handover sessions

• Support Hours

a) On call support and weekend work as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years’ and above experience working as a Java Developer (Python/Perl experience a plus).
• Experience in IT services and support is preferred.
• Experience in finance industry such as stock broking or wholesale finance is preferred.
• IT related University degree or equivalent
• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot and Maven.
• Experience with GIT, Bamboo and CVS.
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, Iterative etc.
• Experience with Java and Python/Perl.
• Knowledge of IT systems including but not limited to Linux/Unix systems, Windows systems, storage systems and basic networking components.
• Knowledge of methods and tools for application lifecycle, software engineering, test management and IT.

Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day administrative and coordination work to the department
• In charge of filing, data entry and administrative duties
• Preparation and submission of Management reports
• Provide support to ensure effective information flow and communication among various internal and external stakeholders
• Outreach to vendors for business procurement related matters
• Forecast business related budgeting and costings
• Ensure that the company's objectives and sales targets are met
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 1 - 2 years relevant office support / business operations / administrative experience
• IT savvy and good in Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Able to communicate effectively with various departments

Job Responsibilities

• Supervising clinic assistants in day-to-day operations of the Clinic to ensure a smooth and seamless delivery of services

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Malay will be advantageous

The Role

Reporting to the head of finance, you are responsible for full sets for accounts up to month end closing. Other activities include preparation and reviewing of monthly reports, monitoring actual performance against budgeted, assisting in budgeting review and consolidation as well as ensuring internal controls are in compliance.

Your Profile
