Job Description:

Based in Singapore, the Singapore Financial Compliance Officer will have overall responsibility in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a country compliance program aligned with group compliance frameworks, and advising internal stakeholders on compliance matters, including:

• Leading regulatory engagements and ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements with relevant regulators and relevant internal and external stakeholders;

• Advising on payments / financial services regulatory matters, and assisting in the development and implementation of new products, features, and businesses lines;

• Providing timely and quality regulatory advice for negotiations on strategic, complex and high value agreements;

• Developing and implementing Group Compliance initiatives in-country, including – technology risk management, business continuity management, outsourcing, and consumer protection policies in line with local regulatory expectations and requirements;

• Incident management (e.g. responding to regulatory investigations / inspections by authorities / assisting in PR incident responses/ submission of STRs);

• Preparing for, and managing, audits and inspections by relevant regulators;

• Localising and implementing Group-wide financial compliance programs and training for internal stakeholders;

• Being the in-country champion in driving a culture of compliance;

• Other additional duties as assigned.

Candidate requirements

• 8-12 years of Financial Regulatory experience (added advantage if candidate is a qualified Singapore lawyer or has extensive relevant experience at a financial regulator in Singapore)

• Ideal candidate would have a mix of (i) regulatory experience, (ii) prior in-house experience in the payments sector (preferably a licensed e-money / wallet operator in Singapore), and (iii) private practice experience in top-tier law or consulting / advisory firms

• Knowledge of FinTech lending and insurance will be a plus

• Extensive experience interacting with regulators, particularly with MAS

• Critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where ambiguity and change is the norm

• Fluent in English and Mandarin

Customer Service and Sales

• Being a true Shilla ambassador and is customer-focused. Has a positive service attitude and provides a unique customer experience
• Ensure that Shilla’s selling standard and service step is used in every customer interaction
• Welcome every customer and elevate customer service through sharing of solid product knowledge and expertise
• Engage and capitalize in upselling, cross selling and multiple selling for all product categories
• Drive and achieve individual sales target on a monthly basis in a teamwork environment

Stock Management

• Properly receive, display, and store merchandise according to company guidelines
• Completely understand and undertake the inter store transfer of merchandise according to company guidelines
• Understand the stock level of different categories and promote accordingly

Store Maintenance

• Maintain a safe and clean store environment and implement daily housekeepingduties, abide to all operational procedures

Store Operations

• Operate the POS cash register and handle various mode of payment
• Perform other duties as assigned by team leaders & superiors
• Provide customer feedback on products
• Any other duties as per assigned

Leadership

• Making decisions on issues such as recruitment, discipline, termination of employment, performance assessment and reward.

1. Wellbeing and Safety Leadership

• Champion programs that enhance scholars' mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, fostering resilience, confidence, and self-awareness.
• Conduct regular safety and risk assessments to ensure a secure environment, empowering scholars to feel safe and supported in their personal growth.

2. Crisis and Emergency Preparedness

• Lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring scholars and staff are equipped to handle challenges with calm and confidence.
• Facilitate training on safety protocols, promoting a culture of proactive care and readiness.

3. Holistic Development for Goal Attainment

• Support each scholar's journey by cultivating motivation, self-efficacy, and a growth mindset through personalized care plans, goal setting, and wellness practices.
• Facilitate workshops on mindfulness, self-reflection, and self-care routines, helping scholars build long-term confidence and resilience.

4. Family and Community Engagement

• Strengthen ties with families, schools, and community partners to create a positive support system that nurtures scholars’ aspirations and motivation.
• Organize community-building events that reinforce shared goals and celebrate scholars' progress, boosting their sense of belonging and purpose.

5. Residential Operations and Positive Living Environment

• Develop and uphold residential policies that promote respect, empathy, and a sense of community responsibility among scholars.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in youth engagement, coaching, mentoring, or residential support.

2. Youth Engagement: Strong knowledge of youth engagement principles and cultural sensitivity, with experience working with children, youth, and low-income families preferred.

3. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills and an ability to connect effectively with scholars from diverse backgrounds, building authentic relationships with communities, families, and professionals.

4. Proven experience in residential, hostel and working with youths, crisis management, with strong judgment and decision-making skills.

5. Team Collaboration: A collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

6. Personal Qualities: Patient, committed, and reflective; values teaching self-sufficiency, embraces humour, and engages positively with others.

7. Work Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to stay on campus (Live in Option Encouraged), working rotational night and morning shifts, including Sunday evenings, with early dismissal on Fridays as required.

The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users.

The Senior/Project Manager is required to plan, design, manage and oversee the development, implementation, integration, support and operations of new and existing application systems and digital services that create value for customers.

What you will be working on

• Oversee the design, development and implementation of web applications, technology services and integration of application systems across different technology platforms.
• Translate high-level requirements and reference use cases to develop into detailed process flows, wireframes and mobile, responsive UX design systems.
• Conceptualize, innovate and perform feasibility study of new or improved products and services based on user requirements.
• Work closely with users on leveraging IT to effectively support their business needs and services as well as to improve current work operations and innovation of new services.
• Prepare proposal and storyboarding of IT solutions to get buy-in from users and managements.
• Manage the vendors and contracts to ensure that the performance of vendors and deliverables are in accordance to the tender and service level agreements.

What we are looking for

• Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
• At least 5 - 8 years of relevant working experience in IT environment.
• Possess experience in IT application development & maintenance, and experience in managing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Possess experience in web and/or mobile development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
• Experience in agile development process and user experience design is desired.
• Knowledge of technologies like library management/automation systems, IoT and RFID has an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9000 standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to manage relevant stakeholders.
