One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research in Singapore and Asia under the Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases (SEED) programme collectively involving over 10,000 study subjects, with comprehensive clinical, image and genetic data. One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform data analyses including (but not limited to) data harmonization, data visualization, survival analyses, regression, and predictive modelling (traditional as well as machine learning models)
• Assist the Principal Investigator in developing and writing analytical plans including sample size calculations for grant applications and statistical analysis and interpretation of results for scientific manuscripts
• Proficient in using advanced data analytics software (e.g., STATA, SAS, R, Python)
• Interpretation and presentation of study results
• Read current literature to keep abreast of novel analytical methods, present them to the PI and key investigators and apply them for suitable projects
• Participate in the preparation of abstracts, posters and presentations
• Ability Perform rigorous quality checks to ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of data and planning timelines for delivering the results

Job Requirements:

• A Master’s /Bachelor degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or relevant disciplines
• Over 2 years’ experience working in research or healthcare with a Bachelor degree

We are looking for a dedicated Senior/Executive to join our SingHealth Staff Protection Office. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (Workplace Safety), you will serve as the key point of contact for SingHealth institutions, providing guidance and support in handling incidents of abuse or harassment involving patients and their next of kin.

In this role, you will work closely with frontline staff to ensure that all policies related to incident response are both effective and relevant. Your responsibilities will include managing immediate responses to incidents, overseeing reporting processes, and coordinating post-incident management strategies. You will also play a pivotal role in cascading and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across institutions and preparing comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.

As part of the team, you will lead the implementation of the Staff Protection Programme, which is focused on promoting safety, preventing incidents, and protecting staff. Additionally, you will provide secretariat and administrative support to the Staff Protection Council, drive initiatives to enhance staff protection strategies, and take on special projects as needed.

You are responsible for providing secretarial support to the Head of department, where you are required to coordinate HOD’s work arrangement and ensure timely maintenance and de-conflicting of scheduled meetings and activities.

You will perform internal and external liaison functions to ensure efficient and effective management of the office. You will need to coordinate and liaise with external parties which includes making and receiving phone calls, emails and visitors.

You are also responsible in providing administrative support to the Program Office’s day-to-day operations such as collation of documents related to resident’s funding. There will also be ad-hoc administrative and logistical assignments such as providing support for meetings and residency event and to source for faculty appreciation gifts.

In addition, you will maintain the Faculty and Resident databases, webpage and e-mail groups and posting announcements to internal and external stakeholders. You are required to assist in the generation of reports or information required by the Graduate Medical Education office or other stakeholders, perform data entry duties as well as maintaining the resident’s information on Excel files and Access databases.

The Head of Social Work Services plays a crucial role within the Allied Professional Hub, overseeing the operations and strategic direction of social work and family support services in Rainbow Centre’s Early Intervention, Special Schools and Family Life Services. This position leads a team of social workers and allied professionals and works closely with the Director of the Allied Professional Hub to review strategic initiatives, ensure quality delivery of services, monitor service administration, manage resources and foster collaboration internally and externally for the betterment of our clients.

• Recognised degree in Social Work
