• Generate accurate and timely reports on trading performance in the Electricity and Gas market, incorporating analysis including industry study, forecast of electricity demand and generation supply and projection of electricity prices, as well as new regulatory papers and proposals to stay up-to-date with energy market developments.
• Understand the contractual obligations of the various natural gas supply contracts and retail electricity contracts and liaise with power plant operation team to meet the Company’s generation running plan..
• Prepare daily estimated Gross Margin performance, highlighting key market events or trading activities and prepare month end accruals to Finance.
• Prepare, set up and implement trading related tools/systems, as well as contracts and fuel sales agreements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent
• Relevant working experience in energy industry would be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge and application of MS Office and Excel macro.
• Self-motivated and independent with strong analytical and communication skills.
• On normal work hours. However, must be able to perform scheduled duties, including work from home after office hours as the Electricity Market operates on a 24 x 7 basis.
• At least 2 years’ experience in trading in the Singapore Wholesale Electricity Market (SWEM)
• Possess experience in gas nomination and has know of the Singapore Gas Network Code.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills would be an advantage.
