An enrichment centre established since 2009 for primary school students to learn the art of English creative writing. Position: English & Writing Teacher Specialist (Primary school)

Our teachers are absolutely the champions of our students who respect and support every child in their classes. They are determined to provide young children who enter our School of Writing with opportunities to experience success as confident writers.

Job Description:

• Teach English Creative Writing (Primary)
• Implement standardized proprietary curriculum to help students perform well in school.
• Take pride in keeping track of your students’ progress and development, and are self-motivated to go the extra mile to support those who need it.
• Build good rapport with students, as well as their parents.

Our ideal teacher is/has:

• A confident communicator
• Fun, and able to make lessons enjoyable
• Teaching experience is preferred (Training is provided)
• A teaching diploma/Bachelor's degree/Post graduate diploma/Professional degree

Required working hours for full-time position:

• ABLE TO WORK tuition centre operation hours ie. Weekday nights and Saturday
• Tuesday- Friday (12.00pm-8.45pm) Saturday (8.45am-5.00pm)
• Closed: Sun, Mon & PH
• Sundays are non-working days which is rare for the tuition industry

• Junction 10 (opp. Bukit Panjang MRT)
• Woodlands Galaxy CC (5 min walk from Admiralty MRT)

As a Marketing Intern at Mavis Tutorial Centre, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop key skills needed in the marketing field. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to learn and explore various aspects of marketing, from content creation to customer service, in the real world setting. You’ll be contributing to our marketing efforts, creating visual content, handling customer inquiries, and assisting in various ad-hoc tasks essential for the smooth running of our marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Assist in basic video and photoshoots to produce content for our social media channels, website, and promotional materials.
• Social Media Management: Support in curating, planning, and posting engaging content across various social media platforms.
• Customer Service: Engage with customers and answer enquiries through social media, email, and in-person, providing timely and accurate responses to enhance customer experience.
• Ad Hoc Marketing Support: Provide assistance on various tasks as needed, including research, event support, data entry, and other marketing or administrative duties.
• Project Assistance: Work closely with the marketing team to assist in campaign planning and execution, providing fresh ideas and supporting materials.

Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Basic Content Creation Skills: Familiarity with video and photo editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar) is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Adaptability: Willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed to support the team and organizational goals.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively and meet deadlines.
• Team Player: A proactive attitude and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
