Schedule & Hours:

This position requires the incumbent to work from Mondays to Fridays, 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. Business travel to Four Seasons Resort Maldives will be required for up to three (3) times per calendar year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to senior management, marketing, merchandising, operations, HR, and other departments on a wide variety of legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor agreements.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark registration, patent protection, and enforcement of IP rights.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, labor laws, data protection, and consumer protection laws.
• Represent the company in disputes and negotiations, liaising with external counsel when necessary.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely advice on legal issues impacting the company’s business operations.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the retail industry and advise relevant teams on necessary adjustments.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide training and guidance on legal matters to internal stakeholders as required.
• Support and assist with corporate governance matters and internal investigations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB)
• At least 4 to 7 years of experience as an in-house counsel
• Candidates with retail/FMCG experience will be highly advantageous

• Key Content and Social Media Strategy Responsibilities
  • Storyboard, produce, shoot and edit high quality content for various platforms including but not limited to EDMs, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Write engaging copy for social media posts and promotional materials.• Spearhead marketing communications efforts, including but not limited to e-newsletters, IAC microsite, event marketing materials, and digital marketing materials.

  • Support the development, production, marketing, and execution of SMU's Office of Advancement events in Singapore and around the region that are aligned with the University's mission and are well curated to demonstrate SMU's thought leadership.
  • Work closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the events are well aligned and executed.
  • Support the delivery of events on time, within budget, and that meet if not exceed expectations.
  • Keep abreast of trends in the industry.

• Degree with at least 8 years of working experience preferably in a video content strategy, marketing and communications, journalism, and/or events role or a related field.
• Proven experience in video production and editing (familiarity with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to tell stories through video and written content.
