Job Description: DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and our AWS based infrastructure, ensuring the seamless integration of these two critical functions. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our software delivery processes and maintaining a reliable infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of technology, collaborating with development teams to streamline the deployment, delivery, and management of software products. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality software to our users efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure our AWS cloud based infrastructure is highly available, scalable, reliable, and runs efficiently.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and pipelines for provisioning, deploying, and managing infrastructure and applications.
• Spearhead our CI/CD efforts, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery pipelines for software releases.
• Embrace the power of IaC tools like Terraform to build and manage infrastructure components.
• Work your magic with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage containers effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps best practices are integrated into our development processes.
• Keep security at the forefront, implementing best practices and security measures throughout the infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to deployment, configuration, and system performance.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a knack for collaboration.

What role you would play within our team

The ideal candidate would be a member of the Gas/LNG team to ensure that our views and published research are timely, comprehensive, coherent, and insightful. The key deliverables include:

· Formulate timely and forward-looking views of key market developments and their impact on natural gas and LNG markets.

· Generate commercially relevant market insights and deliver them to clients via written reports and presentations.

· Develop and maintain supply and demand models to forecast gas and power balances in downstream markets.

· Source for and incorporate a variety of quantitative and qualitative data to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of FGE’s analysis.

· Support bespoke consulting engagements as well as the development of FGE’s research products and databases.

· Collaborate with FGE’s international offices and various experts to deliver a consistent and coherent view of the energy markets.

· Engage with clients to understand different perspectives and ensure that FGE’s research is relevant and insightful.

· Act as the subject matter expert on specific markets or segments of value chain and communicate key findings to the team.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about the energy sector and the energy transition. The ideal candidate will have experience in natural gas, LNG, or power markets. Experience in oil or commodity market analysis or trading analytics is also welcomed. The key requirements and qualifications include:

· Able to do independent research and work with a project team.

· Pro-active in suggesting research ideas and improving existing analytical tools.

· Able to distil key findings into clear visualizations and concise narratives.

· Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

· Able to multi-task and perform in a deadline-driven environment.

· Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Singapore.

· 0 to 5 years of working experience. Having a background in energy or commodity market research and analysis will be advantageous.

· Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus.

· Experience with data analytics, visualization, and automation tools is a plus (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, etc.).

· Opportunistic hires will be placed in appropriate positions according to their experience and skill sets.
