The Senior System Engineer, R&D is responsible for designing, building, and testing complex or large-scale, systems, ensuring that the components of the system are integrated and function. The incumbent determines the overall structure of the system, organizes the interaction between components, and evaluates the influence of the environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Define system architecture to provide desired functionality in product based on User Needs and regional Regulatory Standards. Thereafter generate the system requirements specification (SRS) based on the architectural decisions and technology choices made.
• Work with engineering disciplines to decompose System/Subsystem Requirements Specifications (SRS/SSRS) and allocate to subsystems. Thereafter, lead/oversee the development of SSRS working jointly with the Subsystem Technical Leads to ensure that the content is developed by the appropriate subject matter experts to achieve performance, functionality and reliability.

• Provide technical support and investigation to field escalation and drive design improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• M.Sc. / Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in New Product Development environment working with complex integrated systems
• Good knowledge with precision injection and fluidic control, Injections Electrokinetic and / or Electrospray ionization will be an advantage.
• DFSS knowledge and experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

• The position requires traveling to company locations and customer sites in US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China. The successful candidate should be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time.

• At least 2 years experience in the construction & supervision of Vehicular structures and road projects preferably with LTA infrastructure projects
• Candidate is required to have technical expertise and knowledge in Civil Engineering Construction specifically on RC works and construction for pile cap, piers/columns construction, crosshead, viaduct, drainage RCBC etc.
• Candidate should be familiar with LTA standard requirements for viaducts & RC work
• Candidate with experience in viaduct construction and/or attained RE certification is an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office is mandatory while knowledge of Auto CAD will be helpful
• Attained CSCPM/BCSS, Confined space, Work At Height certification

Description:

o Responsible for production of construction-related drawings (2D & 3D).

o In charge of all drawing development required by respective projects.

o Prepares detailed drawings for submission and interior fit-out works/construction.

o Prepares drawings accurately from oral instructions, rough sketches and notes, calculations, dimensions for construction or building works.

o Maintains, updates, and makes amendments to drawings as instructed.

o Analyses and interprets changes to drawings.

o Ensures the drawings comply with specifications and company standards.

o Ensure that the drawings are easily understood by the project teams.

o Ability to manages multiple projects concurrently and accurately in a timely manner through workload prioritization.

o Communicate with key personnel in the project planning on necessary details in the preparation of drawings.

o Studies drawings and other pertinent papers in preparation for fabrication drawings

o Collaborates with quantity surveyors to guarantee adherence to specification.

o Explains drawings to production or project teams and provide adjustments when required.

o Any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

o Preferably 2-5 years of drafting experience

o Sound prior knowledge of drafting construction-related drawings

o Ability to utilize AutoCAD and related applications

o Proficient in MS Office

o Effective communication skills

o Punctual and reliable

o Able to work independently without much supervision
