Seeking for Singaporean to join as Systems Engineer (security surveillance system)

1 year contract under employment agency payroll

Salary range: $3000 - $4600
Basic salary + Completion Bonus + Mobile & Transport allowance
Work location: Mostly outdoors on different sites across Singapore

Requirement

• Singaporean (Required to clear Cat 2A clearance)
• Have experience working in Govt setting
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in security surveillance hardware/software administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Mandatory Skills: CCTV knowledge, Electrical & Cabling (Power & Network)
• Preferred Skills: Contractor supervision, construction site safety, issue troubleshooting, mechanical and civil works knowledge
• Diploma in Information Technology, Electrical / Electronic, Information Systems or equivalent discipline
• Must be comfortable working outdoors on different sites across Singapore
• Able to handle emergency situations outside of normal work hours when required
• Able to be on 24/7 standby
• Need to serve 2 months notice if hired for this role
• Positive work attitude, independent, resourceful with a customer first mind set and able to work under pressure

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Good knowledge and hands on experience working with software and hardware systems in the area of:

1. IP CCTV System
2. Perimeter Protection System (PPS)
3. Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM)
4. Video Management System (VMS)
5. Audiovisual System

• Analyze, plan, implementation (network, system, infra, applications), testing, and management of a state-of-the-art integrated perimeter, video surveillance and video analytics security system.
• Work closely with team members to meet client’s service delivery level agreement
• Able to work and coordinates with contractors and clients
• Works with partners to diagnose and rectify technical issues as well as support preventive and corrective maintenance
• Understands technical documentation, installation manuals, system drawings etc.
• Able to read and orientate construction drawing, floor plan, etc.
• Continuously looking to improve processes as well as introduce new technologies for better security and greater customer satisfaction
• Proficient in electrical power and good knowledge on power cabling works for on-site works
• Understands technical documentation, manuals, as-built system drawings etc.
• Works independently without supervision and communicates well with team members, partners, and clients
• Assists maintenance team to ensure System Availability and Reliability meets customers’ requirement
• Carries out any other technical related duties that may be required
• With knowledge on construction site safety and regulatory requirements

Overall Job Purpose

To independently determine and draft the Requisitions for packages of mechanical components and / or equipment that are required in a project, assists in evaluating the technical aspects of bids and executing in order to deliver the packages on time and to ensure that the packages meet the technical requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Understands the specifications and requirements in the area of mechanical components and equipment (such as compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pumps etc.) of the assigned project.
• Independently develops technical specifications and attachments that are part of Requisitions.
• Independently evaluates the technical and engineering aspects as well as issues related to components delivery of bids received from suppliers and gives assessment to the Senior Engineer.
• Generally, Senior Engineers are assigned complex packages and / or medium risk equipment
• Upon award to the successful tenderers, executes the orders for complex and / or medium risk packages by ensuring that documents (such as data sheets, drawings etc.) provided by the suppliers are complete, accurate and in order.
• An example is the specifications and information related to the interfacing between the mechanical component and other components.
• Being the focal point in respect of those packages handled, liaises and coordinates with various internal stakeholders, other discipline engineers, quality team, Engineering contractors and suppliers, ensuring that their needs are met timely and according to the specifications.
• Periodically visits suppliers, checks and tests the packages and their components to ensure that they function as per specifications. Occasionally, has to work with the suppliers to rectify the components making sure that they comply with the specifications and are ready on time
• Provides technical/engineering support and advice to Construction/Commissioning work at site, trouble shoots and follows up with suppliers to rectify the defects or problems.
• Resolves technical issues independently that may arise during the execution of packages handled using expert knowledge and technical know-how, and takes part in HAZOP workshop related to the assigned package and ensures recommendations are incorporated in the completed package with appropriate HAZOP close out.
• Is responsible for capturing lessons learned in his/her functional area, entering in MIMS, and closing out project related MIMS actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
• 12 years or more of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector.
• Is aware of

1. Applicable industry standards, Company standards, specifications and procedures for his functional area;
2. Expert knowledge in the application of mechanical components such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, Generators etc and market practices in the oil and gas sector.
