We are seeking a skilled APP developer responsible for building Android and iOS applications. Your primary responsibilities will involve designing and developing these applications, and collaborating with the team working on various layers of the infrastructure. Hence, a dedication to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and delivering quality products is imperative.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain mobile applications and systems integrations necessary for operation.
• Ensure adherence to best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
• Actively participate in all stages of the software development process.
• Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain the APP.
• Engage in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Deploy systems to production and provide post-implementation support.
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
• Provide maintenance support to customers by investigating and rectifying reported system shortcomings.
• Understand the interdependencies of services (applications, systems, and databases) and accurately pinpoint problem areas to enhance overall efficiency.
• Evaluate opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation to share with team members and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in React Native (Javascript/Typescript) and either Android (Java) or iOS (Objective C/Swift).
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent debugging abilities.
• iOS & Android frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Familiarity with continuous integration through Jenkins.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, especially Git.
• Web Services / Application Program Interfaces – JSON, XML.
• RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, including quickly adapting to new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Local Customers and overseas freight forwarders by understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions.
• Communicate regularly with Local Customers and overseas agent offices to update them on shipment statuses and ensure seamless coordination.
• Source and secure new sales opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound cold calls, and emails and schedule appointments for sales.
• Prepare and submit competitive quotations for cross-trade and international shipments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
• Track sales leads, coordinate quotes, and maintain accurate customer accounts while providing excellent customer service.
• Follow up proactively on submitted quotations to achieve a high success rate and close deals effectively.
• Support the operations department to ensure successful delivery of services that meet or exceed agent expectations.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Management to contribute to organisational success.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of both Freight operations and sales processes
• Min 4 years of experience in the freight forwarding (Air & Ocean) industry within commercial areas, preferably with ocean exposure in a regional role
