The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned AWS Technical Architect to design, implement, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, infrastructure automation using Terraform, and in-depth knowledge of networking, compute, storage, database, monitoring, and alerting solutions. This role is critical to ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. Required experience of GCC and IM8 policies. Experience with advanced AWS tools and frameworks like Kinesis, Chime, OpenSearch, and Generative AI (GenAI) using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is highly valued.

Cloud Architecture and Design

Cost Tracking and Analysis:

• Monitor and track costs across projects, operations, and logistics functions to ensure alignment with key stakeholders
• Perform monthly cost analyses to compare actuals against budgets, identifying variances and ends to support strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support:

• Collaborate across departments to assist in forecasting activities, and help to develop and maintain cost-effective budgets.
• Prepare accurate cost forecasts and contribute to the budgeting process to support financial planning.

Reporting:

• Produce and provide regular reports on costs, budgets, and variances to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate transparency.
• Generate insightful cost and expenditure reports to support proactive cost management,

Project Cost Management:

• Manage project-specific cost tracking to ensure expenditures stay within budgeted limits and align with financial goals.
• Conduct spot checks on cargo and post-project cost reviews to assess profitability, addressing overspending when identified.

Invoicing and Activity Tracking:

• Generation and processing of invoices, Keeping and maintaining records of contracts, sales agreements, services, and activities are in cost tracker accurately.
• Support accounts receivable (AR) tracking by updating records and ensuring timely invoicing.
• Organize and document all invoices for easy access and retrieval.

Customer Service and Issue Resolution:

• Address customer inquiries and disputes about invoices, handling adjustments, and clarifying incorrect charges.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and customer care to resolve invoicing issues promptly and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Handle full set of accounts, prepare management accounts and audit schedules.
• Review subsidiary accounts and analyse variance.
• Liaise with external auditor on audit matters and audit schedules.
• Experience in using internet banking for payment.
• Knowledge of payroll processing with Times Payroll.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Min. at least 5 years in handling full set of accounts independently
• Accounting knowledge with hands on experience
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 Dynamic Business.
• Proficient in Ms Excel
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
