Department Overview:

Epworth HomeSweetHome was started in 2013 in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) as the first Therapeutic Group Home in Singapore. The Home provides stay-in treatment for children between the ages of 7 to 12 years old who have experienced abuse. We use the Trauma System Therapy (TST) treatment model to help children with complex trauma and aggressive behaviour.

We believe that with early and appropriate intervention, children can recover and become well-adjusted persons with a healthy mental well-being. Timetable and Systems Officer

The Timetable and Systems Officer (TSO) is directly responsible for the timetabling provision for all academic departments at GESS. They will work in continuous collaboration with Directors, Deputies, the Head of the Cross-Curricular Activities (CCA), and other managers to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective timetables. The TSO will organise the collation of data with each allocated school/department during the key planning and data collection cycles to ensure they have the most up-to-date data on teaching spaces, capacity, locations, and availability. Additionally, the TSO will support the school’s cover planning requirements by coordinating teacher and staff cover, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning when absences occur.

Main responsibilities

• Develop CAD/CAM programs for mold bases, repair/modification projects, machining tasks, and gun-drilling operations.
• Create new NC programs and tool lists using UG CAD/CAM software.

The Occupational Therapist shall be responsible for the assessing and identifying individual needs of students of St. Andrew’s Mission School (SAMS). He / She will also formulate, develop and customise appropriate occupational therapy programs for the students.

1. Evaluation & Assessment

• Provide screening, identification, formal or informal assessments for students with occupational therapy needs.
• Identify and prioritise goals for intervention in collaboration with the student/family/caregiver and multidisciplinary team.
• Formulate care plans that are outcome based and relevant to students’ goals through planning, implementing, evaluating and managing interventions
• Measure outcomes of treatment and conduct continuous evaluation
• Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices as required by the students to improve function (if required).

2. Intervention

• Provide consultation, individual and/or group interventions that will improve students’ functional performance and skills

• Provide caregiver support to ensure and encourage continuity of interventionstrategies at home

3. Service Administration & Management

• Maintain inventories of all equipment and fixtures with regular updating.
• Plan budget allocation and recommend relevant therapy resources for the school
• Conduct in-house training programs for both internal and external stakeholders (eg. teachers / parents / caregivers / volunteers)
• Participate in developing protocols and clinical guidelines to improve services in conjunction with the Head of Student Support/Principal.
