Required skills and qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.

Job Scope:

• Prepare project models and construction documents using BIM software.

Provide guidance and oversight of classification, certification, and statutory survey work within the Region/ Worldwide. Responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of the survey work within the Region/ Worldwide and verifying compliance with the applicable ABS and statutory requirements as appropriate.

Job Duties/Roles

1. Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles and processes.

2. Stays up-to-date with ABS Rules, Guides, and Statutory requirements.

3. Develops guidance and training for survey staff on implementation and application of ABS Rules, Guides, and Statutory requirements.

4. Makes survey-related presentations to the Surveyors within the region on a regular basis.

5. Provides oversight through activity monitoring of ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System. 17. Responsible for maintaining the port state control database of detained and/or intervened ABS classed vessels in the region. Liaise with the MOU Regimes, as necessary regarding ABS classed vessels that have been detained by the Port State Authorities.

18. Serves as a member of the Regional Safety Committee.
