As the HOD, Corporate Secretarial, you will oversee the department's operations and lead a team derdicated to providing top-tier corporate secretarial services. You will be intrumental in managing client relatioinships, driving business development, and ensurng compliance with local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the Corporate Secretarial team,fostering a colaborative and efficient working environment.
- Mentor and develop staff, setting performance goals and ensuring continuous professional development
Client Management
- Actively service a portfolio of around 50 pte ltd andd offshore clients
- Supervise staff who is servicing another portfolio and oversee the delivery of corporate secretarial services to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Act as Named Secretary for SEAL, its subsidiary and affliliate and all its clients
- Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, managing and strengthening relationships
Compliance and Governance
- Act as Qualified Individual for SEAL, its subsidiary and affiliate
- Review client KYC/Due Diligence and Risk Assessment records and perform ongoing periodic KYC/Due Diligence and Risk Assessment on client accounts
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to corporate governance and secretarial services
- Keep abreast of changes in corporate governance norms and dimplement necessary adjustments in service offerings
Business Development
- Identify opportunities for growth and lead initiatives to expand client base and service offerings
- Collaborate with senior management, marketing and sales teams to promote corporate secretarial services
Operational Excellence
- Review department's Internal Procedures and Processes Controls (IPPC) on AML and CFT and update IPPC when there are changes to ensure compliance with ACRA rules, regulations an Corporate Service Provider Law (CSP Law)
- Streamline processes and implement best practices to enhance department efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; a professional certification in Corporate Governance or Company Secretarial Pactice is preferred
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate secretarial practice, with at least 3 years in a management role
Strong understanding of Singapore's corporate regulations and compliance landscape
Proven track record in client management andd business development in the corporate secretarial sector
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
