Job Description

• You will be responsible for the overall management and technical operations of our Bulk fleet. This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc.

• Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class cert and survey

• Supervise contractors’ repair/maintenance of vessels

• Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares and docking requirements

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years as Technical Superintendent looking after Bulk Carriers.
• Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer with minimum class 2 certification or equivalent with in experience in Bulk carriers with ME Engines.

• To fully understand the structure of each deal & items stating in the checklist prior preparing the reconciliation template;
• Close follow up with Line Manager to ensure checklist is drawn up for each agreement prior the deal commences, making sure the checklist is updated whenever there’s changes to the deal;
• Setup contract details in system together with billing instructions to facilitate correct invoicing to customers;
• Update customers on the monthly slot charges with bunker update & ensure correct fixed slot invoices issued promptly to customers;
• Extraction of customers loading information – to scrutinize the report & probe agents for clarification on any data discrepancies, also follow up to ensure system gets updated with correct records;
• Submit reconciliation statement to customers on their slot usage against their slot commitment, it has to be drawn up accurately & submit within stipulated timeframe;
• Follow up with customer for the statement confirmation & ensure accurate & timely issuance of invoices;
• Handle queries raised by customers & resolve the disputes independently.

The incumbent is required to develop and conduct programmes that strengthen individuals' financial capability by imparting skills, knowledge, and attitudes, and by encouraging behavioural change.

Job Responsibilities

• Needs Analysis: Conduct needs analysis to identify the learning needs of clients and the target audience, supporting CCS's mission.
• Programme design and development: Design and develop programmes to improve the financial capability of the target audience, including creating learning activities, content, learning aids, and materials to enhance learning.
• Programme Delivery and Implementation: Manage and execute programme delivery by organising, scheduling, and maintaining records, including administrative instructions, registration, attendance, venue preparation, and post-event feedback surveys. Additionally, conduct and facilitate financial literacy talks, workshops, and webinars related to CCS debt assistance programs.
• Programme Evaluation: Evaluate programmes to recommend areas of improvement and guide the development of new programmes.

External Collaboration

• Collaboration with Partners and Stakeholders: Identify and assess the needs and requirements of collaborative projects with various partners and stakeholders. Develop and deliver tailored programmes that align with and support CCS’s mission. This includes coordinating with partners to ensure project objectives are met.
• Commissioned Projects: Analyse the specific requirements and objectives of commissioned projects. Determine appropriate pricing strategies based on the scope and complexity of the project. Prepare and submit proposals that outline the programme deliverables, content and delivery, ensuring they meet the requesting organisation’s expectations and CCS's standards.

Administrative Roles

• Learning Technology and Strategies: Stay up-to-date with learning technologies and instructional strategies related to financial education to ensure programmes are effective and engaging.
• Volunteer Management: Train and prepare volunteers trainers and facilitators to conduct CCS talks, workshops and webinars. Ensure adherence to CCS content and standards, and make sure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
• Perform other job-related duties as and when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any discipline.
• Prior experience in conducting adult training, with working experience in designing, developing, and customising training courses.
• Possession of a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) or WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or equivalent.
• Possession of a relevant degree in finance or professional certifications such as Associate Financial Planner (AFP), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent, or prior experience in delivery financial literacy or financial education talks or workshops, would be advantageous but not required.
• Prior experience in conducting financial literacy or financial education training would be advantageous but not required.
• Prior experience in non-profit organisations, community outreach, partnership management or programme development may be advantageous but not required.
