We are looking for an experienced Digital Business Analyst who is familiar with product management!
As a Digital Business Analyst with specialization on Product Engineering, you will be a key member of the GovTech project team, comprising the Project Manager, Operations Team, Cloud/Solution Architect and other Technical Consultants to deliver ICT capabilities.
A brief summary of your job responsibility:
- Your primary focus will be on the product features, functional analysis and feature delivery of a core Document Management System. In this role, you will work in an operations team, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to:
- Be fully conversant in the features and capabilities of the Document Management System
- Participate in functional and requirements analysis for enhancements and defect management
- Translate business use cases into technical, functional specifications and test cases
- Evaluate and recommend solutions that best address business and operational needs
- Review design, system testing, integration testing and data conversion documents to verify that specifications are met
- Maintain oversight and control over product deployments and roll-outs
- Play an active role in stand-ups to ensure agile delivery of product backlogs
- Ensure product usability with interface design and standardisation, user/video guides
- Meet with stakeholders and key users to receive continuous feedback to improve and evolve the system
- Drive product upgrades and technology refresh for the system and its underlying components
- Manage product backlogs, assess feature requests for value and work closely with supporting teams to ensure successful delivery
- Work with developers and operations personnel to understand and troubleshoot technical problems as needed, and provide timely management updates till resolution
- Undertake root cause analysis for problems in order to implement preventive and corrective measures to meet business and performance needs
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years of working experience
- Good understanding of user experience design, search systems, web application and system security principles and implementation, session management and operations best practices
- Demonstrable experience in application management and operations, including content management systems and information-centric systems (portals, search engines)
- Working knowledge of content management systems such as OpenText, Microsoft SharePoint and AI/ML would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders
- Able to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges
- Able to facilitate discussions/workshops to elicit, manage and prioritise key business needs
- Knowledge and practice of Agile methodologies for operations and product development work
- A team player with strong influencing and people handling skills
- Experience in product line management and costing, communications and collateral preparation for publicity and usability of the product is preferred.
