As part of the global data science team, you will contribute to the development of various solutions designed to address our clients’ needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with our client’s leadership teams, engineers, program managers and data analysts to understand business needs.
• Steer a small team or work independently on client projects with support of senior leadership
• Identify, acquire, process and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured information to discover trends and patterns.
• Use your data analytics and data science expertise to derive valuable insights from datasets, build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Communicate at scale, through multiple mediums: presentations, dashboards, datasets, bots and more.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
• Contribute to a broad range of projects and deliverables, including models, algorithms, datasets, measurements, services, tools and processes.
• Evangelize data science in the region by contributing to training & upskilling
• Contribute to business development activities such as building proposals, conducting research, and driving thought leadership

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Data Scientist or Data analyst (ideally in consulting)
• At least a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant area of study (Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics or a related field of study) from a top university
• Prior experience in model development(Doc Review, Decision Model etc. will be advatageous)
• Good skills in Python and ideally another analytical language (e.g., R, SQL)
• Problem-solving aptitude and strong business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• English fluency.
• Strong plus: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, R-shiny)
• Strong plus: Good understanding of statistical techniques and concepts
• Strong plus: Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques or optimization

Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a team of 5, you will be responsible for financial closing and reporting, management reporting, group consolidation, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow, working capital, tax (GST/GTP tax incentive/Transfer pricing) and other reports, maintaining accounting controls by complying to policies and procedures. Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a MNC and spent the later years in a supervisory role. This role requires understanding of complex consolidation concept and hands-on experience in using SAP and MS Office applications. About Global Payments
The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide. We serve multiple overseas businesses within ByteDance, such as Advertising, Live Broadcasting, E-commerce , Games, etc.

The Risk Control and Compliance team in Global Payments is mainly responsible for overseas transaction anti-fraud, chargebacks, credit evaluation, merchant risk rating, anti-money laundering and other business scenarios. In addition, the team ensures the platform adheres to the requirements of International Credit Card Organization, local financial supervision, and customs.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the architecture design, construction and optimisation of the global payment risk control & compliance system to ensure the quality and scalability
2. Responsible for the construction of decision engine, chargeback center, anti-money laundering system, data and model platform
3. Research the latest technological developments in the industry and work with engineers in the team to promote rapid development and efficient iteration of the business
Qualifications1. Bachelor's or Master Degree in Computer Science or a related field;
2. At least 3 years of experience and above;
3. Solid coding foundation in one or more programming languages (Go/ Python/ Java/ PHP/ C++);
4. Hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms;

Job Description:

• Perform review and Master Asset Tree tagging of the contract breakdown related to construction, additions & alteration works and common costs of development project for cost allocation and asset capitalisation purpose.
• Facilitate in retrieval of supporting documents and seek clarification on the contracts from multiple parties (e.g, Development Contracts & Cost Control team, CE Planning, Design & Control team as well as Project Management team) so to understand nature of contract works and perform review and tagging accurately.
• Coordinate and assist in the annual fixed asset sighting exercise to ensure existence and completeness of asset sighting. This includes liaising with the different asset controllers to identify the assets; assist in updating the changes to asset details; and perform actual asset sighting with asset controllers for samples selected.
• Assist in day to day operation duties and month/year-end closing and reporting activities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.

• Experience in SAP will be advantageous.
