Job Description
Reporting to a Principal Consultant, the Senior Consultant will oversee and manage ESC's Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) business area in Singapore. This key role involves project and client management while mentoring a diverse team of consultants and managing subcontractors across Singapore and the region.
In addition to managing our growing existing client base, you will also play a key role in ensuring quality and safe delivery of SIR projects including several remediation projects, undertaking liaison with clients, strategic partners and subcontractors, assessing analytical results and ensuring quality deliverables. This role requires a blend of client management as well as hands-on project delivery.
Job Responsibilities
· Day-to-day direction of ESC's Singapore SIR business.
· Support business development and proposal development to win new SIR projects for ESC.
· Representing ESC as the main point of contact for SIR contracts.
· Ensuring site staff are appropriately trained and equipped to deliver the projects.
· Managing the project budget and management of subcontractors.
· Leading project teams to provide services/solutions to complex technical problems and oversee client management.
· Mentoring and management of the professional development of ESC's SIR Team, implementing formal quality assurance processes and assist staff appraisals.
Job Requirements
· Minimum BSc degree in relevant science (e.g. Environmental, Chemistry, Geology)
· The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years’ relevant experience in a local and/or international consultancy. This role will require you undertaking SIR projects in Singapore and the region.
· Ideally, you will have significant relevant experience in environmental site assessments to ASTM standards,Singapore ESA guidelines, environmental baseline studies, subcontractor management and other related technical disciplines.
· Relevant experience in contaminated site management and remediation is preferred.
· Candidates with relevant site safety and supervisory certification and experience will be advantageous.
· The role will be based in ESC's Singapore office.
