Job Description:

The Freight Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our freight invoice audit processes. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of freight billing practices and have competency in optimizing invoice audit processes. In this role, you are to maintain close collaboration with Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and DFS 4PL Control Towers to ensure freight invoices are submitted in full and on a timely manner.

Claim management would be the next area that Freight Specialist need to focus on in ensuring all claim is being followed up closely and appreciate claim metrics is being measured. The Freight Specialist also have responsibilities for ensuring Inbound Delivery (IBD) are available promptly and accurately to avoid delays in goods receiving process. You will need to coordinate between Finance, Divisions and outsourced vendor (IVI) to ensure IBDs are available, and IBD exceptions are addressed in a timely and accurate manner. Reports into the pricing trend, IBD readiness and freight spends are some examples of core freight reports which this role is expected to manage.

Freight Invoice Audit:

• Audits freight invoices to ensure billings are made accurately against agreed rate cards; Timely processing of freight invoices for payment.
