RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide support for MI's project in the following ways:

• Recruiting and breifing project participants on project protocol
• Administrering surveys to participants and following up with participants to ensure that they are adhering to the project protocol
• Providing on-site support to project participants when needed (e.g at participants' homes or at product developers' site) 
• Providing administrative support to MI's project, such as coordinating schedules with project stakeholders and sourcing for quotes from vendors 
• Consolidating inputs from various participants for sharing with project partner(s)
•  Facilitating effective communications between project partner(s) and participant (e.g paraphrasing project information in an accessible, easy-read manner for participants where necessary)

• Education: Higher Nitec or A Level and above; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• iii. Fluent in English and another language (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil)
• Able to commute occasionally when needed
• Able to work outside of office hours occasionally when needed
• Experience with interacting with people with intellectual disability is a plus
• vii. Experience working in a social service agency is a plus

Occasional commuting and non-office hours work can be expected: The staff will need to commute to where project participants and product developers are and during non-office hours if needed.

The intern will work with the Marketing team to:

• Prepare marketing materials, online newsletters, and promotional emails on various platforms
• Assist to organise advertising and promotional campaigns
• Assist to provide copywriting, content, proof-reading, and graphic design support for all marketing collaterals ((e.g. marketing collaterals, logos, digital displays, signboards, brochures, posters, packaging materials advertisements (online/offline), promotion materials, short digital videos, etc.)
• Monitor the company online presence and analyse past performance on website and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn etc)
• Assist to optimize online adverts through Google Adwords, Facebook ads, etc to increase company and brand awareness
• Assist to provide market research and provide insight on marketing trends
• Assist visual displays and in space planning, creation, and installation of all visual display at the stores, roadshows and events
• Assist to sourcing and maintain all props, creative materials, and accessories for display

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Diploma in Business (Marketing), communication or media related field looking for summer internship and are looking for exposure in the marketing field
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
• A hands-on, resourceful, result-oriented, and analytical thinker
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred
• Full time intern who can work until year end is a plus

Functional Requirement Specifications, Testing and Documentation :

• Draft functional specifications and system performance requirements
• Define unit tests and detailed system integration documents, additionally to any other documents required during the project lifecycle
• Enable and support functional and user acceptance testing
• Develop final documentation and train Users

Architect and Design :

• Lead the architectural design of cloud-based SaaS application on AWS, utilizing relevant services to ensure scalability, security, and performance, with CI/CD integration
• Implement strategies to optimize application performance, addressing latency, and ensuring responsiveness across diverse devices and platforms

Machine Learning :

• Ensure the seamless integration of machine learning models into the application, optimizing for real-time predictions and user experience

Applications Development :

• Full-stack software development on backend and frontend (eg Python, SQL, REST, JavaScript, TypeScript / node.js + React framework) for the SaaS
• Applications development on Windows environment to communicate with the firmware of the IOT optical device
• Oversee the applications development on iOS and Android

Data Management :

• Design the architecture and system for effective data storage, retrieval, and management in a cloud environment, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.

Team Collaboration across Disciplines :

• Work closely with cross-discipline teams, including AIML engineers, UI/UX designers, firmware engineer and IOT-hardware engineers, to ensure a cohesive development process to integrate hardware and/or software systems

Qualifications and skills :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in system architecture and system development, with a solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and deep learning principles
• Hands-on coding and software design experience building robust and scalable software using Python, C+, SQL, REST, JavaScript, TypeScript / node.js + React/Angular framework
• Experience in building data intensive applications in a modern technology stack Cloud services (AWS, Azure), data pipelines, SQL/No-SQL databases
• Experience building and consuming web-based APIs
• Familiar with continuous deployment environments (eg Jenkins) and test-driven development
• Good understanding and practical experience on Docker, CI/CD and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Micro services architecture.
• Strong knowledge of source code management tools such as Git
