Responsibilities

As a speech therapist, you are expected to:

• Assess and identify the needs of individual clients to recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions and programmes
• Conduct individual or group therapy to ensure client outcomes
• Participate in public education/outreach to build an inclusive society
• Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in speech therapy and be involved in networking with hospitals and other community organisations
• Senior speech therapists will be expected to take on supervisory and administrative roles in addition to clinical work

Requirements

• Masters or Degree in Speech Therapy or its equivalent (preferably recognised by the Allied Health Professional Council).
• Eligible for registration as speech therapist under the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in local languages will be an advantage.
• Applicants for the position of senior speech therapist should have at least 5 years of relevant working experience, including one year of clinical supervision to practicing speech therapists.
• Experience in management and multi-agency collaboration will be an advantage for senior speech therapist position.

Primary Objectives of Position

The Principal of AWWA's Kindle Garden Preschool, the first inclusive preschool in Singapore, develops and upholds Inclusive Preschool Philosophies and advocates / supports the development of Inclusive Preschools in Singapore. His/her work includes leading in the planning and implementation of school events/activities, including parent and community engagement activities, to ensure that children of diverse abilities learn, play and grow together to become emotionally resilient and compassionate citizens of the future.

The Principal oversees curriculum planning and implementation and mentors, coaches and develops the team to achieve the Inclusive Preschool objectives, outcomes and impact. He/she ensures the viability of the preschool as a business entity. He / she is in charge of the operations and governance of the preschool by developing and implementing AWWA policies and processes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Planning 

• Lead the team to achieve the Inclusive Preschool goals. 
• Clarify and promote organisations’s mission and core values 
• Implement policies and ensure compliance with quality standards and statutory requirements 
• Oversee planning and implementation of curriculum and processes to support the achievement of the school objectives, including the development of the children 
• Plan and oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre to ensure its smooth functioning 
• Plan for and lead in the implementation of school activities and event 
• Lead, guide, coach and inspire staff team for peak performance 
• Supervise and monitor progress and achievement of work outcomes of the staff team 
• Plan, review and evaluate the performance of the staff in the centre

2. Quality and Standards 

• Monitor the effectiveness and quality of learning programmes and curriculum, including the level of caregiver satisfaction at the school. 
• Ensure the quality standards in all areas, including delivery of learning programmes, curriculum, operations, administration, health and safety of the school 
• Work with curriculum specialists to ensure consistent quality standards are met. 
• Follow up with public and parents’ concerns and feedback 3. Development of Staff 
• Oversee the induction, and on-the-job training and development of staff so that they are equipped with the skills and competencies required for the job 
• Mentor and coach teachers to ensure high standards of curriculum delivery 
• Plan and recommend the professional and career development of the staff

4. Engaging Parents and Community 

• Set up various platforms to engage and establish good relationships with parents and the community eg, plan and organize PTC, parents’ orientation 
• Lead in the planning and implementation of community projects to increase community engagement and awareness for the school.

5. Achievement of Business Results 

• Prepare the financial budget for the school 
• Ensure the budget is met by managing the financial performance, including monitoring monthly and supporting marketing efforts to ensure enrolment and enrichment targets are met 
• Optimise the use of school assets and resources to maximize operational efficiency
• Ensure enrolment and revenue targets are met through coordinated marketing efforts 
• Drive Inclusion advocacy work

Other Responsibilities 

• To assist in ad-hoc projects/committees as and when required by the Assistant / Deputy / Director. 
• To perform any other duties as directed by the Director/CEO.

Job Responsibilities:

· Support clinical services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications;

· Consistent maintenance of inventory

· Liaising with external vendors and suppliers on medication and supplies;

· Execute internal/ external communications.

JOB INTRODUCTION

First contract will be a 2 year Apprenticeship Programme. Candidates will receive training within a structured learning module under the close guidance of our senior podiatrists. Candidates will not be consulting nor treating patients independently during this phase. Successful candidates who graduate the programme will be offered a subsequent employment contract to practice with enhanced clinical autonomy.

The apprentice podiatrist position encompasses the foundation of continuous education in a working environment surrounded by advanced podiatric cases. Apprentices will be under the leadership of East Coast Podiatry's pioneering practitioners, whom are equipped with a vast knowledge of high risk, MSK, paediatrics, podiatric surgery and ultrasound imaging.

This position is a unique opportunity for podiatrists to be part of a well-equipped program that offers fluid progression of knowledge in a field of podiatry that is seldom seen. During the 2 years apprentices will be expected to follow the instructions of their senior clinical leads to ensure that overall educational learning and career progression milestones are being met.

4. 5 day work week. Full-day clinic duty on Saturdays is compulsory. Off days on Sunday and an assigned weekday (except for Wednesday)

ROLE OF THE APPRENTICE PODIATRIST

Apprentices will work closely under the supervision of their clinical/senior lead and will undergo rotation across our four clinic locations to learn from various podiatrists. Duties will include:

1. Taking on patient cases as instructed by the mentoring podiatrist who will provide the apprentice with the needed information and specific instructions for the apprentice to carry out treatment to optimize full patient recovery.
2. The apprentice will provide patient reports required by the senior to ensure patient progress is being achieved.
3. Consultation will be carried out by the mentoring podiatrist and apprentices will be expected to join-questions may be asked for associate to obtain full educational benefit.
4. Apprentices will be expected to continuously study on their own time, as well as to periodically present their learnings and clinical cases to the panel of senior podiatrists

JOB SCOPE:

· Working with senior management to develop and implement policies and actions;
