Job Description - Business Manager ( trade-in and resale operations for refurbished phones)
Position Overview:
The Business Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the trade-in and resale operations for refurbished phones. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the business, manage operational workflows, ensure profitability, and maintain customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of the refurbished electronics market, and the ability to drive growth in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Business Development
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the trade-in and resale operations
- Identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to shape business strategies
- Build partnerships with suppliers, retailers, and trade-in program providers
- Explore opportunities to expand market reach, including e-commerce and B2B channel
2. Operational Management
- Oversee the end-to-end trade-in process, including quality checks, refurbishing workflows, and resale operations
- Manage inventory and ensure an efficient supply chain for refurbished phones
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals
3. Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of sales, operations, and customer service staff
- Set goals, monitor performance, and ensure a high level of team productivity and morale
4. Finacial Oversight
- Create budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business objectives
- Monitor profitability and cost management, ensuring competitive pricing strategies
- Report financial and operational metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders
5. Customer Experience and Brand Management
- Ensure a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints, including trade-in programs, sales, and post-sale support
- Develop marketing strategies to promote refurbished phones and educate customers on sustainability benefits
- Maintain high standards of product quality and service to enhance the brand’s reputation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven experience in the trade-in, resale, or electronics refurbishment industry
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing models, and customer behavior in the refurbished electronics sector
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in financial planning, data analysis, and project management
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and digital marketing strategies
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with large-scale trade-in programs or refurbishing operations
- Knowledge of regulatory and environmental compliance in electronics resale
- Expertise in managing partnerships with carriers, retailers, and third-party logistics providers

Basic salary: up to 5.5k to $6k with experience.
Transport allowance: $1000 (if have own transport) / $500 (without own transport)
Mobile allowance: $50
No fixed/ variable Bonus, but there will be commission / incentive for the position ( Based on performance, will be updated to him later, during interview/ selection stage )
