Job Description

Program Implementation:

• Develop, implement, and coordinate psychosocial programs and social activities that address the needs of residents and promote social engagement.
• Collaborate with the Medical Social Worker (MSW) to identify community needs and tailor programs accordingly.
• Work with external partners, internal stakeholders including community organizations and healthcare providers, to implement joint programs and activities that enhance resident support.

Conduct Program Evaluation:

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of psychosocial programs through data collection, resident feedback, and outcome assessments.
• Prepare and present reports on program performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize evaluation findings to inform future program development and enhance service delivery.

Volunteer Management:

• Partner with the engagement team to outreach and recruit volunteers
• Train and supervise volunteers to assist with psychosocial programs and activities.
• Develop volunteer training materials and ensure volunteers are equipped to provide support to residents effectively.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged in their roles.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer involvement in service delivery, providing feedback to improve processes and outcomes.

Facilitate Social Activities:

• Organize and facilitate social activities that promote engagement, social skills development, enhance social skills, and emotional well-being among residents.
• Encourage resident participation in social events and activities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.

Collaboration and Networking:

• Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to support residents' psychosocial needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with the MSW and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
• Advocate for residents’ needs within the community and assist them in accessing resources and services.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of program activities, volunteer participation, and resident interactions in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and best practices in program implementation and psychosocial support.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and relevant certifications.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in psychosocial support and program coordination.

Qualifications:

• Min. Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant experience in program coordination, psychosocial support, or community engagement.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with the resident’s doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents; updates on changes in the residents’ condition and needs

- Ensure care delivery and nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan

- Work with allied health professionals and/or initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures

- Carry out and supervise assessments of all new admissions

- Prepare clinical documentation and ensure all documentations are current

- Prepare and administer medications to residents and comply with safe medication practices

- Supervise staff to ensure safe medication practice

- Participate in training and development of staff

- Work with Supervisor to conduct quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care

- Deal with emergency that arises and ensure prompt actions to mitigate the situation. Escalate promptly to supervisor, where necessary

Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Nursing or its equivalent

- 2 years related experience

PROFESSIONAL LICENCE

- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board

- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Professor HUANG DEJIAN on Plant proteins for Cultivated meat under a project on SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION OF CULTIVATED MEAT: MEDIA, SCAFFOLDS AND BIOPROCESS.

The main responsibilities of the position include:
1) Coordinate activity of progress of sub-projects of this grant funded by government (Singapore Food Agency)
2) Lead development of plant proteins as new edible biomaterials for scaffold fabrication and coating materials to improve cyto-affinities
3) Write progress reports of the grant
4) Write invention disclosures
5) Write manuscripts for publication
6) Write grant proposals related to the plant protein work
7) Supervise junior students

Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline:
PhD degree majoring in Food Science and Technology or closely related fields.

Skills:
Skilled at extraction of plant proteins and Natural products. Food analysis methods such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, proximate analysis, cell culture skills, imaging molecular biology experimentation skills. Good communication skills in writing and spoken English skills in scientific writing including creative graphic presentation.

Experience:
0-3 years of working experience.
