The main objective of the department is to assist the CRO’s Office in the management of MC Branch offices and subsidiaries in the Asia-Oceania region, of its related activities and support our senior executives in our head office in Tokyo on the aspect of regional IT services.
In doing so, you will be required to lead the team and collaborate deeply with our colleagues in our head office in Tokyo, as well as our branch offices and subsidiaries in the Asia-Oceania region. You are expected to contribute by providing sound IT related advice for branch offices and subsidiaries in Asia-Oceania region, in addition to the management of IT governance. The roles include but not limited to the followings:
· To lead and manage activities in Regional IT Service Department.
· To make yearly objectives of Regional IT Service Department, taking into consideration objectives of IT Department of Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo (“Tokyo HQ”) and achieve them.
· To manage, communicate and support employees of the Department to achieve Department objectives.
· Oversee and manage regional rollouts of IT initiatives, including digitalization projects such as generative AI, business intelligence tool etc., ensuring on target delivery.
· Review and improve IT implementations for branch offices and group companies in the Asia-Oceania region, providing professional IT advice to relevant counterparts.
· Govern and review IT projects of respective local offices in Asia-Oceania region, providing advice and support to ensure success of them.
· Establish strong relationships with existing and prospective global IT vendors in Singapore and Asia-Oceania region.
· Plan and provide various kinds of initiatives to increase regional employees' IT security awareness.
· Lead and manage annual regional IT Conference.
· To guide, train, develop and motivate a diverse group of team members and communicating in English & Japanese for effective team management.
Job Requirement
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Information Technology or equivalent
· Well-versed technical skills in IT infrastructure (PC, server, network, Microsoft365, cybersecurity etc.)
· Good knowledge of application software and general business process (Accounting, HR etc.)
· Advanced proficiency in English language and Japanese language (JLPT Level N1 or ability to speak, read and write at business level) to communicate effectively through phone calls, emails and/or meetings with the head offices in Tokyo, as well as both local and expatriate staff in the branch offices and subsidiary companies
· Management skills of global rollouts of IT initiatives and IT department staff
· Cross-cultural efficacy to facilitate effective communications with Tokyo HQ and regional offices
· More than 10 years’ experience in abovementioned requirements
