As a Data Center Segment expert, the Sales Engineer is responsible for leading, developing sales strategies and plans as well as generate new business opportunities to the company.

The position does this by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with potential and existing key accounts, end customers, consultants, and system integrators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plays an active role in promoting PS in trade events and associations. Works with Marketing and Engineering to create, prepare and present technical papers and other application specific white papers for marketing collateral, trade journals and conferences.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant sales experience in the power generation business.

Purpose and Scope

This position is responsible for fulfilling the purchasing requirements for SembWaste and Sembcorp Environment Energy from Waste Plant, and spend categories includes Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Actively engaging business stakeholders, translate business requirements to sourcing strategies to deliver business requirements.
• Understand business priorities and guide stakeholders to propose and execute the operational strategies with consideration to risk mitigation and governance.
• Work with business stakeholders to provide support to drive compliance to Sembcorp policies.

Sourcing & Contract Management

• Perform Source to Contract process, lead and perform negotiations with suppliers.
• Leading RFx creation/management, market research/analysis, data collection/analysis, and contract management (cost, terms and conditions, SOWs, MSAs, etc.).

Supplier Management

• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and establish Preferred Supplier List jointly with business stakeholders by relationship management so as to deliver maximum productivity benefits.

Cost Management

• Ability to analyze total cost of acquisitions/ownership and provide optimum value to business. Deliver cost saving goals, delivering value beyond savings.

Business Process improvement

• Ability to work with business to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the process.

Admin Support

• Provide advice to internal stakeholders on all procurement-related matters and ensure they are compliant with Group Procurement Policy.
• Perform vendor screening, supply market research and analytical studies to identify and select potential suppliers to be added to the pre-approved vendor list.
• Ensure all supporting documents are in place prior to creation of Purchase Requisitions in SAP system.
• Support periodic reporting to track historical procurement data for consolidation and improvement.

Required Competencies

• Diploma / Degree holder with minimum 4 to 6 years’ of procurement experience.

Stratas Advisors is seeking an analyst for its practice area pertaining to renewable transport fuels, including biofuels. The primary focus of this position will be conducting research on renewable transport fuels from Asian and global perspectives. The analyst will gather and analyze information and data, and distill key takeaways and implications, provided to clients through online client products and bespoke consulting engagements.

Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently are critical to this role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and collect data/information on the biofuels and other renewable transport fuels and the transport and energy sectors, including overall market growth, fiscal policies, sales of alternative vehicles, trade dimensions and developments by competitor, at a country and region level.
• Forecast and model supply and demand, production capacity, feedstock splits, support mechanisms and tariffs at the regional and country level.
• Prepare written analysis of markets and policies in reports/memos/data provided for internal use and for clients, as well as in other forms, such as PowerPoint slides and Excel files.
• Streamline overall data gathering and handling.
• Help coordinate data and information sharing between the Decarbonization and Renewables practice and other teams within Stratas Advisors (e.g., Automotive, Fuels Specifications and Hydrogen teams).

Requirements:

• Experience in an analyst or research role, particularly within the transport or energy sector, is desirable.
• BA/BS is required, and an MA/MS, specifically with work in economics or transportation/energy, is a plus.
• Strong quantitative skills with a comfort level using MS Excel are critical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• High level of personal interest and enthusiasm in the transport and energy industries.
