RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

· Supervise contractors, including negotiating pricing, scheduling, and quality control.

· Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

· Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and project progress.

· Serve as the primary contact for local authorities, obtaining permits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

· Develop and implement emergency response procedures.

· Lead and mentor the facility maintenance staff, providing guidance and training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical discipline or certification in facility management.

· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility management, with supervisory roles.

· Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong communication skills.

· Ability to write reports, plan schedules, negotiate prices, and supervise contractors.

· Familiarity with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

· Class 2 or 3 driving licence required for travel to various facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and coordinates a team of drafting and detailing engineers, cost estimators, fabrication and project team

• Ensures proper planning and execution of projects to meet or exceed performance indicators in terms of quality and timeframe

• Oversees the planning of project operations and resolves technical and scheduling issues on-site

• Main point of contact and liaison between project teams and the client's representatives, consultants, and relevant authorities

• Review contract, design drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Implement effective contract and claim management to increase the contractual margin and protect the Company against liability claims

• Site visits to review the progress of your job

• Monitor compliance of work with workplace safety and health regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.

• Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Structural/Civil Engineering

• Experience with fabrication and installation of structural steel and miscellaneous metals

• Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.

• Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite Project setup

Task Management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive product quality improvement plan, aligned with the organization'soverall goals and objectives.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and analyse root causes of quality issues.
• Developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent future quality issues.
• Monitoring and reporting on product quality metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct audits and assessments to identify and address potential quality risks.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their products meet our quality requirements.
• Collaborating with various teams such as engineering, manufacturing, classification societies, and suppliers to ensure consistent quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest quality improvement methodologies and tools.
• Track and analyse warranty data for reporting, change implementation to new products and continuous improvement
• Identify and communicate process and product improvements.
• Continually seek to identify areas of quality risk and resolve them before they impact on the vessel.
• Delivery of regular communications & reports to the Key internal relationships.
• Establish and maintain high standards of quality and control of cost within budget limits.
• Carry out customer familiarization of our products.
• Occasional travel to vessels country operating area to conduct fact finding on their operations and acceptance of our products in operation for quality.

• Develop full understanding of relevant classification and survey body rules that affect the quality performance of our products.
• Manage warranty claim documentation and continuous improvement feedback documentation to the shipyard.

Administrative Functions

• Liaising with clients
• Attending Meetings on site
• Co-ordinating between administrative and site operations
• Renewing work permits for foreign employees of company
• Liaising with vendors for procurement and maintenance of machinery / office equipment / insurance policies, etc.
• Facilitating the renewal and / or application of company certification
• Facilitating stock checks of company’s inventory
• Preparing payment claims and invoices to clients
• Assisting the management to enact contingency plans in event of emergencies (e.g., Covid - 19)
• Liaising with government official for compliance
