Job Description:

• The Purchaser in the Marine Industry plays a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services necessary for the smooth operation of marine projects. They are responsible for ensuring that the procurement process is efficient, cost-effective, and aligns with project requirements and timelines

Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers/vendors for various materials, equipment, and services required for marine projects. Research and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the marine industry.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers/vendors.

Overview

Work closely with R&D Manager in a laboratory setting to conduct research on new or existing paint formulas with minimal supervision.
