Night shift and weekends if requested
To plan, assign and monitor activities for Quality Compliance to Bulk Materials Equiment and ensure conformance of materials/products/equipment and processes, Installation of Equipment, EIT, HVAC, Vessel and Marine Systems to Project specifications, contract and regulatory requirement. To co-ordinate all QA matters within discipline and ensure Site Compliance to Mechanical Completions.
1. Performs Project and Vendor quality audit and monitor the non-conformance, corrective actions, special process required and recommend preventive measures and improvements.
2. Continuously monitors the quality of workmanship in compliance with the relevant codes and regulations.
3. Reviews drawings and specifications with project management team.
4. Ensures Vendor Prepares and monitors the inspection and test plan for EIT mechanical/HVAC/ piping items (pre-commissioning checks of equipment, Dimension Control and installation etc.).
5. Liaises with owner, certifying authority, production and engineering departments on implementation of quality procedures.
6. Plans and organizes activities for QC Inspector / Technicians and to supervise them in executing their duties.
7. Ensures Vendor and Package inspection procedures and all the requirements of QA/QC, and disseminate to inspectors and technicians.
8. Participates CBE, TBE and site inspection and test form and data for compilation.
9. Maintains Vendor SDRL / MDR / FRB / MRB compliance to Project Requirements
10. Ensures Vendor Execute Mechanical Completion checksheets and update Completions Management Systems online
11. Generate Punchlists and Opportunities for Improvement where Non-Conformances and deficiencies observed and follow through to closure.
12. Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
13. Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary.
14. Participate site receiving inspections, site installation and Mechanical Completions.
15. Ensure that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed.
16. Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Special requirement (tools & equipment used, external contracts etc.):
Need to know ISO 9001. To be familiar with relevant marine classification rules, ASME, ANSI, API, IMO and NMD regulations etc. Computer literate.
Education
Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Naval Architecture Engineering with 3 years’ experience in marine industry. Or diploma in Mechanical, Marine and Naval Architecture industry with at least 5 years’ experience in marine industry.
