About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. These deliverables are used directly by our clients in communication with external stakeholders instrumental to the successful uptake of novel therapies. The work is structured on a project-by-project basis and you will usually be working on several projects in different disease areas at any one time.

You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues in both the Singapore UK and US offices who provide one-to-one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients and, following a successful induction period, you will increasingly engage in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

Positions are available for those looking for an entry-level role as well as those with some prior experience. • Medical Communications: Medical communications provide the scientific bridge between clinical development and commercial functions in pharmaceutical and device companies. Most activities have a strong patient and/or healthcare professional (HCP) focus, and act to educate and inform clinical decision making and patient care, or to gather insights that inform a product’s clinical development. These projects require the ability to work closely with clients and prominent HCPs to deliver high quality writing that is scientifically rigorous, patient focused, and in line with the strategic positioning of the pharmaceutical or medical devices products. Working in medical communications at Costello Medical requires excellent project management skills, constant dedication to customer service and the development of strong relationships with clients, academics, and HCPs in the APAC region and globally.

Medical Writers specialise in the strategic planning and development of publications, which include abstracts, posters, oral presentations and manuscripts targeted at scientific journals and conferences. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development. Our work is multidisciplinary, often beginning with evidence generation in the form of literature reviews, advisory boards with clinicians and payers, or economic modelling, to inform the development of materials that present an evidence-based account of the product’s value in a compelling and accessible manner.
  Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. These include developing product value messages and materials (e.g. brochures, slidesets, white papers, etc.), building health economic tools and models, and developing dossiers for submission to HTA agencies. A role in the Market Access division suits those who are passionate about patient access to healthcare, are fast-learners and have a strategic, problem-solving mindset. • Evidence Development: Evidence-based medicine is the cornerstone of medical decision-making. The work of our Evidence Development team encompasses literature reviews, synthesis and real-world evidence generation.
  
  Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.
  
  Our real-world evidence projects include the design, execution and subsequent reporting of prospective, retrospective or cross-sectional real-world studies. We develop protocols and statistical analysis plans (in collaboration with our Statisticians, Epidemiologists, clients and external experts), acquire and analyse data, and communicate the methodologies and results in both written and oral formats.

About the Role

Project Coordinators are based in each of our scientific divisions and support with a wide range of administrative, project coordination and scientific tasks. These divisions are broadly described as Evidence Development, Medical Communications and Market Access. The Project Coordinator will be primarily based in our Evidence Development division, but will work cross-divisionally, giving them the opportunity to explore a wide variety of project types and responsibilities.

The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator role are varied. In a typical week, the majority of your time will be spent overseeing the delivery of scientific work to our clients in the healthcare sector, with responsibility for the smooth running of projects. This will include identifying and suggesting improvements to processes, as well as implementation of these changes, with the aim of enhancing quality and efficiency within the team and, where appropriate, across the wider company.

You may also work on internal projects that contribute to the successful operation of your team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Formatting, consistency and general quality control review of scientific documents, including reimbursement submissions, reports, slide sets, manuscripts, abstracts and posters
• Assisting Project Managers with client and healthcare professional communication on multi-component projects, and the production of progress reports and summaries that enhance the level of customer service delivered
• Coordinating logistics and providing project support for both in-person and virtual events and meetings, for example congresses, symposiums and advisory boards
• Day-to-day co-ordination of the project teams and monitoring of project timelines, in collaboration with the project manager

• Reformatting of scientific documents to ensure adherence to client requirements and/or relevant submission guidelines

Analysts, Medical Writers and Project Coordinators share a similar level of responsibilities; however the roles do differ significantly in terms of daily duties.

• Implement, monitor & improvise site safety management system
• Support management in safety-related matters
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate HSE policy and requirements by conducting regular inspection and internal audits
• Proactive to lead incident investigation, address the control measures, and ensure that all incident reports are made in a timely manner.
• Oversee all general activities concerning HSE and Implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules, regulations, and procedures of the company.
• Ensure that relevant HSE documents, reports, communications, and other requirements of HSE are kept properly in place.
• Ensure HSE complies with ISO
• Compile reports and presentation slides for management reporting

Job requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma in Workplace, Safety & Health or equivalent
• Attained MOM WSHO license
• Proficient in MS office, IT savvy (Google forms etc)
• Minimum 3 years post-registration & relevant practical experience in a similar role with LTA projects
• Candidates with no relevant LTA project experience may be consider for Precast Yard WSH Officer position
• Candidates with experience in Precast yard environment is an advantage
• Experience in Civil road works and heavy lifting matters

1. Provide strong commercial support to ensure customer satisfaction in terms of product supply and service.
2. Develop a deep understanding of Sensetac’s products to provide effective support to clients.
3. Manage client projects and arrange timely sample deliveries, working with cross functional teams to ensure objectives are met.
4. Assist to develop inspiring market trends and concepts, keeping abreast with trends in the region.
5. Coordinate marketing events, such as trade shows and webinars, working closely with cross functional teams to ensure alignment of event goals.
6. Provide support in various digital marketing activities as required.
7. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Food Science or a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience (experience in the flavour industry an advantage).
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective team player, with good interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to communicate with clients.
• Knowledge in digital marketing tools a plus.
