· Perform Secondary Superintendent’s jobs for Ships as assigned, when the Primary Superintendent is out of the office

Qualifications

· 5 years seagoing experience with a minimum of 2 in senior officer

· and/or 2 years’ experience as superintendent with a company whose capabilities have been investigated (the seagoing experience may be waived provided other relevant experience like shipyard and/or new-building site work has been performed)

· Broad general knowledge of shipping and environmental laws and regulations

· Decision-making and leadership skills

· Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in written form

· Ability to effectively manage, work and deal with people from multiethnic background

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and good organizational skills

· Ability to work in a team and inter-departmental

· Commitment to work outside office hours

· Willing to travel frequently

· Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to pick up quickly on specialized software if required
