Role Summary

We are looking for a Shipbroker to join our LNG desk. You will work alongside other Shipbrokers and carry out various tasks as outlined in the description below. The ideal candidate will have some experience within LNG or Gases, and possess strong interpersonal skills, with a driven and self-motivated approach. What you will be doing

• Fixing LNG tankers vessels in the LNGC/FSRU/Small Scale market segments
• Provide Market information/reports to customers including Owners and Charterers
• Preparing daily market reports/position lists.
• Expanding and developing contacts with principals from both Owners and Charterers in the Far East and in the LNG segment.
• Liaising with the Group’s global offices, where necessary, to optimise business across the Group.

About Our Client

Our client is a key player in the transport and distribution industry headquartered in China, currently expanding their presence into Singapore by setting up their first office. As they establish their footprint in the region, they are looking for a dynamic Accountant to lead the financial operations, set up the finance infrastructure, and play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth in Singapore.

Job Description

• Set up the finance infrastructure, systems, and processes for the Singapore entity
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Singapore and China HQ requirements
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, GST filing, statutory reporting, and audits
• Liaise and collaborate closely with China HQ for financial reporting and operational alignment
• Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and oversee financial planning for the Singapore office
• Support ad-hoc projects such as process improvements, financial forecasts, and cost control initiatives

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in accounting, with prior experience in setting up finance processes
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements
• Hands-on, self-driven, and adaptable to working in a start-up environment

• Review management accounts and assist in planning of the audit engagements including, but not limited to, understanding of the client’s business environment, assessment of key risks areas, determination of materiality and performance of preliminary analytical review
• Perform fieldwork for audit including, but not limited to, performance of tests of controls, substantive analytical procedures and other tests of details
