Overall Purpose of the role

The role holder will primarily undertake the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation programmes and provide advisory to resolve any related issues at the client’s organisation.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Development (including design and related analysis), implementation and delivery of compensation programmes aligned to the organisation’s strategy and applicable regulations, including the provision of advice throughout the employee lifecycle and during the annual pay review, advising on related services and the resolution of reward and compensation issues from employees, people leaders, or regulators.
• Communication and engagement to educate employees and people leaders on the compensation offering and structure, including in relation to salary, bonus, and allowances recognition schemes.
• Review the competitiveness and relevance of the compensation programmes including salary, bonuses and allowances, as appropriate.
• Administration and delivery of compensation services, including the planning of cyclical activities, developing and testing relevant processes and systems, and managing external vendors/stakeholders and engaging with other HR teams where relevant to ensure effective delivery of these.
• Compensation reporting, analytics and forecasting to support management decision-making during compensation programme development and the annual pay review, utilising internal and external data.
• Contribute to regulatory work relating to Compensation, including working in partnership with other HR teams or control functions to craft responses to regulatory requirements and gap analyses against new or revised legislations.

• Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
• Perform complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function and potentially guide and lead team members in this area

• To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business/Human Resources or equivalent
• Minimum three years of relevant Compensation experience
• Experience in interacting with a variety of stakeholders at various levels both internally and externally
• Experience with Project management and able to work effectively to exacting deadlines
• Good use of Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in providing high quality of service delivery and response to clients
• Experience and knowledge of compensation survey such as Radford McLagan, Towers Watson etc would be an advantage

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).

Basic Expectations for this position

• Proficient in all aspects of plant biotech laboratory procedure including ability to modify and adapt protocols to develop gene editing and transformation pipelines.
• Manage concurrent tasks in various stages of completion

• Experience with high throughput molecular biology techniques and the ability to operate specialized and general equipment (biolistic particle delivery systems, fluorescent microscopes PCR and q-PCR machines, gel electrophoresis, tabletop centrifuge).
