Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all cargo handling / stowage related enquiries as arise as part of day to day activity within the office.

• Crafting preliminary prestows in the office and / or assisting Masters with their stow plans - amongst many other related types of activity.

• Achieve the most cost-effective stowage solutions, taking account of all the elements - including cargo care, productivity, cost and safety.

• Prepare lifting calculations and method statements, including lifting equipment details, for project cargo or other contract tenders as may be required.

• Responsible for proper communciation on such plans and for ensuring that the relevant stakeholders understand by those who will implement them.

• Estbalish the link between local ops staff and the regional or head office for all issues relating to stowage and cargo handling.

• Provide professional support and follow-up on these matters to local operational staff, (eg Port Captains) providing guidance and direction on methods and company procedures, raising issues as appropriate with Operations management for discussion and /or approval as may be necessary.

• Adopt a leading and proactive role in the work needed to maintain the Company's manuals and other internal information sources as far as they relate to cargo, cargo handling and stowage issues.

• This will entail close coordination with local operational staff as well as the voyage management teams to ensure that all changes are noted and updated plus that new cargoes / new methods are identified and recorded.

• To assist in gathering data and preparing reports as may be needed by the voyage management teams and hold responsibility for, the operation of voyage(s) as may be needed from time to time.

• Break Bulk Cargo loading and discharge experience including heavylift and project cargo. Wind mill cargo handling experience will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Ensure standardized operations and timely order delivery by following SOPs, 6S standards, and guiding subordinates.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address delivery issues, seeking external support when necessary to ensure timely order flow.
• Order Management: Efficiently handle all warehouse and delivery orders, analyze order data, and provide timely feedback.
• Documentation: Track maintenance orders, manage documents, and conduct inventory counts.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to optimizing daily work systems, resolving issues, and enhancing efficiency.

Qualifications

• NITEC or above, logistics/supply chain management is preferred

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for the manpower needs, the operation flow and resolve any issues face in the restaurant outlet.

Job Description:

• Manage all daily front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring smooth restaurant functioning as per company SOPs.
• Supervise and support staff to provide excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and FOH teams to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
• Monitor restaurant operations to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, from food preparation to table turnovers.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste to optimize resource use and cost control.
• Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, ensuring that all team members meet performance expectations.
• Conduct & evaluate regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance staff skill sets.
• Manage staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
• Monitor customer feedback and ensure that customer service meets or exceeds company standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement strategies for achieving sales and profitability targets.
• Monitor daily revenue, control labour and food costs, and implement initiatives to improve profitability.
• Report on restaurant performance to the Operations Manager, providing insights on staff, operations, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with health and food safety regulations, including hygiene, sanitation, and staff safety.
• Conduct regular safety checks and audits to identify and resolve any potential hazards.
• Ensure that labour expenses are align with budgetary goals.
• Implement strategies to maximize productivity.
• Fulfil and adhere to all required administrative work as per the directives from all the supporting departments.
• Ensure timely submission of reports such as staff attendance, payroll-related documents, and financial data (e.g., expense reports, inventory costs).
• Coordinate training schedules for staff and ensure compliance with internal training programs.
• Assist the marketing team with promotional campaigns by implementing and monitoring in-house promotions.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality/Restaurant Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a managerial level.
• Energetic, good team player and service oriented.
• Great leadership with solid analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
