Our client is a growing international bank, looking to hire a legal counsel and regulatory compliance specialist. With great focus in regulatory compliance, you will be under the guidance of a knowledgeable and strong leader, reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Legal Officer.

Role Responsibility:

• Provide expert advice and training on legal and regulatory requirements, policies, and standards of professional conduct.
• Support the design and implementation of Legal, Regulatory Compliance (RC), and Conduct frameworks, policies, and procedures for digital-led banking in Singapore.
• Ensure end-to-end implementation and effectiveness of frameworks for identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, mitigating, and reporting Legal, RC, and Conduct risks, including data conduct.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to manage issues and risks effectively, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Act as the second line of defense for managing Legal, RC, and Conduct risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Stay updated with legal and regulatory developments, manage consultations, and support the implementation of legislative and regulatory changes.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice and drafting for retail banking products, including credit cards, lending, and savings accounts.
• Review and advise on legal and regulatory aspects of customer journeys, new products/features, customer communications, and marketing materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experiences, developing innovative solutions.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice on customer complaints and disputes.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• At least 3 years of experience in the financial sector, with a minimum of 2 years in Legal and/or Regulatory Compliance second line of defense roles.
• Intermediate proficiency in legal/compliance advisory on regulations, policies, and standards, including data conduct.
• Legal qualification in Singapore, called to the Singapore bar, or possessing a Singapore law degree.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership, solve problems under pressure, innovate, and achieve sustainable results.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to explore new solutions and ideas to enhance processes and customer experiences.

Looking for a Consulting Project Manager with some background experience in Venture Design or building a startup.

Some domain experience is required in shipping, marine industry or fintech / banking. Alternately domain experience in transaction / wholesale banking (trade finance, supply chain finance, digital assets) will be a good fit.

Project management responsibilities include delivering consulting and technical projects on time within budget and scope. Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.
