The role will be responsible in leading the development of Lifestyle Brands in Asia Pacific and supporting the development of Luxury Brands in Asia Pacific, through management contracts and other means of development including franchises and co-management where appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities
Prospecting
· Representing the Lifestyle and Luxury Brands and selling the unique know how, assisting the Country Developers in this instance.
· Assist the Country Developers to identify and build relationships with potential companies who would be willing to choose a Lifestyle or Luxury brand for their hotel.
· Identify potential projects, contact/follow-up with owner/developer/consultants in an effort to promote and sell the Lifestyle Brands.
Assess the Lifestyle and Luxury projects’ feasibility
· Project analysis (financial, product and marketing), in coordination with the Country Developer where relevant.
· Liaise with all relevant internal departments to assess the project’s feasibility (design & technical, operations,…).
· For brands in partnerships with other companies, liaise with all relevant departments at such companies to assess the project’s feasibility (design & technical,…) and obtain validation of the projects where required.
· Act in coordination with the development strategy and guidelines defined by Asia Pacific, and ensure that the projects are also consistent with the strategic guidelines defined by Corporate office
· Detailed financial modeling and investment analysis for projects, where required.
Negotiation of Management Contracts and other commercial arrangements
· Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, proposals and pitches for Lifestyle and Luxury projects.
· Lead, or assist the VP Development Luxury Hotels or the Country Developers, in the negotiations of commercial terms & conditions and contractual negotiations for management agreements, franchise agreements and other commercial arrangements for Lifestyle and Luxury hotels.
· All matters relating to the successful signing of management agreements, franchise agreements and other commercial arrangements in cooperation with the Country Developers or VP Development Luxury Hotels, for all hotels that meet the desired standards and are deemed to be appropriate for the strategic growth of the relevant brand.
Profile
Knowledge and Experience
· Master degree in international management or business administration
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
· Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel and Power Point
· Knowledge of hotel accounting & management, financial modeling, hotel brands and hotel legal documents (management agreements and franchise agreements).
