Job purpose

The Corporate Branding & Strategy Division has been newly established to enhance MOL's branding both externally and internally. Our goal is to engage with stakeholders such as customers, investors, partners, local governments, community members, and employees across various regions.

The Assistant Manager in the Corporate Branding & Strategy Division will work closely with direct manager to develop and execute communication plans by following strategy and direction. In addition, we collaborate with various divisions and entities to improve employee experiences and engagement through internal communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

Branding

• Collaborate with managers to develop and execute brand communication plans.
• Create, manage, and update brand communication guidelines and workflows.
• Execute brand communication plans with stakeholders across divisions, entities, and countries in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
• Develop, manage, and update regional branded materials and global assets provided by HQ (Tokyo).

External Communication

• Develop and manage annual communication plans and projects.

Strengthen the tax practice within companies in Singapore and the APAC region:

Singapore Tax Matters

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns for SG Group of companies to the IRAS
• Manage all tax queries raised by IRAS as well as queries raise by SG Group of companies during day-to-day operations
• Initiate, manage and complete transfer pricing (TP) documentation preparation for SG Group of companies and act as the main contact point between TP consultant and SG Group companies
• Ensure timely and accurate tax provisioning and deferred tax computation within tight deadline for group reporting
• Initiate Major Exporter Scheme (MES) license renewal before the expiry date
• Provide leadership to SG Group of companies and ensure tax governance compliance
• Highlight any potential tax risk and make suggestion for improvement
• Standardisation of tax practice and treatments within the SG Group companies

Regional Tax Matters

• Visualization of tax issues of the regional Group companies and make proposal of counter-measures
• Collecting information on tax changes in the APAC region and grasp the impact to the Group companies
• Support to tax risks associated with reorganization of group company, guidance on risk mitigation, and support for M&A activities
• Support regional Group companies in any tax audit case, liaise with local tax consultant as well as local tax authorities in each country, where required
• Support and monitor Group companies in respect of transfer pricing risk and suggest counter-measures
• Provide sound advise and guidance to the regional companies as and when required
• Monitor effective tax rate in the region and make suggestion for improvement
• Improve tax awareness in the region
• Reduce unnecessary withholding tax expense for the Group and make suggestion for improvement
• Enhance Tax network in APAC Region by working closely with Japan HQ and each regional companies / Country Tax managers
• Functions as a point of contact for group company tax-related measures
• Initiate GST ASK assessment for the renewal of Major Exporter Scheme (MES) license before the expiry date
• Support Japan HQ for Master File preparation, Country by Country Report (CbCR), Pillar 2 project, and any other tax project or queries as required
• Support Australia and New Zealand entities for Hybrid Mismatch compliance matters
• Support Japan HQ for tax matters in relation to Japanese Controlled Foreign Corporation (JCFC) rules
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filing in India

Qualification

• Approximately 10 years of tax experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in tax compliance and planning
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Role: Membership Admin Assistant

You will report to the Membership Retention manager and will oversee admin support of the membership department: acquisition, engagement and retention.

KEY OBJECTIVES & DELIVERABLES

What you will do:

This is a membership admin assistant position, based out of Mandala Club Singapore. You will be a part of the dynamic team, where you’ll have a chance to support the department with all things membership related: member profile building, billing and payments, data clean up and maintenance, tracking processes implementation and enquiries delegation. You will be reporting to the Retention Manager and working closely with the rest of the membership team.

Retention & Engagement

● Ensure all member enquiries are distributed to the appropriate departments

● Respond to general queries and update relevant tracking information to share with the team

● Work closely with the Retention Manager on billing, invoices, credit card expiry, refunds, voucher issuance etc.

● Use various CRM and reservations systems to help with reporting (weekly/monthly)

● Maintain and oversee the tracking system for cancellations, pauses, resignation of member accounts

● Liaise with the finance team regarding the status of refunds, payments, etc.

● Liaise with members on outstanding bills or any billing inquiries via phone, email, WA when required

● Assist with weekly/monthly membership retention and acquisition reports

● Assist the membership team with any administrative tasks as required

Acquisition:

● Manage CRM data relevant to acquisition: update prospective member profiles, status, payment details, lifecycle stage as assigned by the membership manager

● Clean up large sets of data and delegate derived trends to the appropriate team members

● Ensure the requested outbound communication is streamlined and recorded in CRM
